  1. Not sure if ever popular at all, but I used to use Carbite putter that I really love. I still use it to regain my confidence when I'm off the course for a long while. I guess it's hard to say any particular type and brand is good for anyone as putter is so much personal as everyone says.
  2. Best estimation of mine in the bag: Drive: $125 Hybrids: $180 ($90 each) iron set: $420 (3-pw, used) wedges: $180 (~$60 each, used) Putter: $60 Total $965
  3. I would get lessons and work with teaching pro to get your swing, identify good club working for you (lots of choices out there), and equally important.....get fitted.
  4. I think 15* 3W would be good choice to fill the gap between driver and 18* 3H. You can add 5W or 7W if you have room to add later on.

  6. Worrying about what will be my handicap after long winter.
  7. wondering what you got and how like it?
  8. Haven't played with this, but interesting to learn feedback.
  9. Standard may work, but I were you, I would work with teaching pro to get me fitted.
  10. When I was serious to lower my handicap (from 35 to 20), I took lessons once a week, frequent to driving range at least five times a week, and one 18 hole and one 9 hole a week. For me, driving range is the place to work on my shot and course is the place where to learn how to manage shot. Make sure to bring your teaching pro questions and problems you are working on, and bring the feedback to your driving range and golf course. I still manage to practice on driving range 2-3 times a week. I do practice swing every night in my living room.
  11. Driver C+ Irons B Short Game A- Putter B Overall C+
  12. Bias can be developed over time based on good or bad experience (or impression) with brands. However, I am trying my best to test as much as I can before making purchase decision.
  13. It would be good to see him win.
  14. I am a fan of Stricker as well. Good person outside of golf as well.....congrats.
  15. As long as good quality to play, I don't mind color, if not outrageous I guess.
  16. I like watching the best as well, however I do agree with what Watson commented, " Tiger needs to show humility".....if Tiger cares is different story. http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/tiger_...lt08aeTl1MBJeP
  17. this is very touching story.
  18. I am a genome scientist, trying to figure out genetic blueprint of life-forms.
  19. Just for best looking, TaylorMade TP MB Mizuno MP-57
  20. +2. Great if that happens here, but also agreed that this would be bad for range business.
  21. I am very sorry this happen to you. I would so mad.
  22. Good to know about this details. Thanks!
  23. I thought golf was non-athletic and more for social and I spent more time with tennis, racquet ball, and jogging. Three years ago when I feel moving slower (45 years old) on tennis court, my buddies convinced me to start golf. I started with private lesson twice a week, driving range every day, and played on a course once a week for next three months. My handicap started going down rapidly. I still want to believe that my handicap is going down, but may not happen. These days I am working on quality shot making. Just like remembering from one of member’s signature, "I have been wasting my time…now I am playing golf".
  24. Many small problems I've been dealing with including slice has been corrected after adopting S & T swing that help to have square club face on the bottom of swing arc.
  25. As my hadicap is getting lower, putting is getting more important to be able to lower my score. You can be perfect on practice green with multiple puts on the same spot, but that's not the case on course.
