  1. I'm just not quite buying that it all rests with Haney. Tiger was extremely successful last year (in more ways than one) and just finished fourth at the Masters. It's entirely possible that Tiger's swing issues are attributed to Tiger.
  2. Tiger, do yourself a favor and go to Jim Flick.
  3. Zero-Friction, 2.75"
  4. One of the great things about this sport -- a guy like Mayfair who seemingly is an after thought on tour given the last couple of years and he goes out and plays like this through two days. Hope he can continue. I'm not a beat the dead horse type of guy, but Tiger wasn't even ordinary today. He was plain bad.
  5. Best of luck to her. She is a class act with a great game.
  6. Based on his reaction post round, TV must have made it out to be more than what it was. He seemed to downplay it in the sense that he's had more difficult shots in his career that he's pulled off than that one. No question a great shot given the circumstances.
  7. 32 years of golfing and still waiting. Hit one to a foot about 4-5 years ago.
  8. Good luck to him. He and his family have a different set of values and way of thinking, far be it from me to pass judgment. I can only speak for myself, and I would encourage my kids to get an education. If Manassero can do both, great.
  9. That's OK. Hank has his hands full with Barkley and Romano. I agree with the rest.
  10. I didn't see the clip, but Arnie is old-fasioned when it comes to hats indoors. He mentioned it in his book "My Life," and I paraphrase but he said something along the lines of wearing caps indoors was disrespectful and that he had learned that at an early age from his father.
  11. I still cringe and shake my head every time I read someone post this.
  12. Well, I never thought I would ever feel this way, but I would be surprised if Tiger wins. I just don't see him coming back after the long layoff coupled with everything that went on and have his game in the shape it needs to be in to win there. If it's maintained the way it has been the last couple of years and with no intervention from mother nature, his short game better be in top form. Then again, other than predicting correctly the tourney he returns to, I've been wrong on many occasions.
  13. Count me as one who could think of no one else I'd rather see win than Ernie Els. -8 total so far today and in the lead, or last I checked.
  14. The multiple accounts my head pro has...
  15. This. If I make the pitchmark, then I fix it. Whatever happens after that, so be it. If my playing companion makes the mark, I expect him to fix it, then I inspect it and do more repairs if I deem necessary. There have been occasions when I'm playing a casual round with friends where I will go ahead and fix the mark made by another, but then again I go ahead and fix whatever I see while I'm waiting for others to play.
  16. I think you're underestimating that percentage.
  17. Going to be a mush pit here in mid-Michigan for a while yet, I'm afraid.
  18. Don't necessarily disagree regarding Camilo's chances at Augusta, but he was a bit yippy with the flatstick today. Not something you want to have happen Masters week on those greens. Then again, the greens at the Honda from what I heard and saw seemed to be very difficult to read and putt. Leave it to Johnny to emphasize the impact the grain had today.
  19. I'm sure there were more, but I only heard him say "trap draw" once today. And I wonder, could he have stuck his nose up Jack's ass any further?
  20. Not exactly surprising AK couldn't get it done. He's absolutely butchered the 'Bear Trap' each time he's played this course, so a run down the stretch from him was not likely. Glad Camillo won.
  21. RF's inexperience is the explanation, or so the announcer proclaimed. I heard it would have been at most a 4-iron for him, a shot everyone on tour has. It boggles my mind how 49 yr. old Calcavecchia puts it over the water from further back, and Fowler lays up. I'm sure he'll learn from that. And as far as Poulter goes, I just laugh at him. He couldn't care less what people think about him, or so I surmise. He's turning into the J.R. Ewing of the Tour. I'm indifferent about him as a player, so whatever.
  22. I don't think he's rated, period. Good golfer, but not a guy who's shown any ounce of winning consistency throughout his career.
  23. Why would it show up? People who are not famous, wealthy, and have power with some subjective meaning aren't under a microscope, are they? To me, this was a new beginning for Tiger. As he stated, only time will judge how he's handling his demons.
  24. I don't think golf was the focal point of what he was trying to accomplish today.
