According to Dr. Bob Rotella all golfers are nervous when playing at one time or another." I don't know how you play well unless you're nervous." says Nicklaus. Ever get it so bad that your hands tremble and your heart races?

Grip too heavy for my wood?
Sante TwoGloves replied to ryunin's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
perhaps you are hitting this club so flush because of the smaller grip which encourages more wrist action. -
make it an hour once a week and take calls from the members. each week have someone to interview for twenty minutes. Out of the sand trap golf hour. have you looked into periscope?

I'm so consistent its scary. just picked up the book, Golf is not a game of perfect. I'm going mental to improve my scores.

Gambling on the golf course is it a necessity?
Sante TwoGloves replied to Mike Boatright's topic in Golf Talk
did they constantly press too? I remember playing with a few gamblers years ago and they would press after every shot. Seemed kind of lame to me. I think they were the ones who turned me off to gambling. Unfair to the non gamblers in the group. I personally thought it was a macho thing. Who had the most money to lose. -
Get the 3 iron AND the hybrid and switch them out depending on the course you are playing until you can hit the shots you want with one or the other.

Easiest & Hardest Courses You've Played in 2015
Sante TwoGloves replied to bkuehn1952's topic in Golf Talk
I hear ya. it was a reunion with friends i haven't played with in 25 years. we always used to play from the back tees in our youth. just for fun we decided to play this monster that no one ever played before from the blacks using 8 clubs or less only. my one friend played with 4 lol. it was a great time. didn't hold any groups up. i would love to go back and play from the whites before the snow falls. there were two holes i didn't carry the hazard off the tee but yeah i shot about 30 strokes worse than normal. my big moment was leading the way at hole 1 with a beautiful drive right down the center with a right handed ladies driver i picked up the week before.i hit my drives left handed all year before that. everyone enjoyed the pink ribbons hanging off of Melody when i pulled her headcover off. it got ugly after that. :) -
I'm certainly no expert but i starting playing all of my shots with the ball just off my front heel like Jack recommended in his book Golf My Way and it helped me. I read that Ben Hogan recommended the same thing. doesnt fit all swings but i thought it was worth a try.

Easiest & Hardest Courses You've Played in 2015
Sante TwoGloves replied to bkuehn1952's topic in Golf Talk
The "easiest" course I played this year although no course is easy for me was Robertshaw Acres. An executive course that is a par 70, 4,948 yards from the back tees with a slope of 110. The hardest was no doubt Totteridge, par 72, 7,154 from the back tees, course rating 75.8 with a slope of 139. Kicked my butt. -
Would you rather win a Major or the FedEx Cup?
Sante TwoGloves replied to mvmac's topic in Tour Talk
I think it depends on the major. I remember reading that Jordan would reap at least 10 million for the masters win in endorsements. That certainly trumps a FedEx win. Not sure if other master winners get that much or how the other major winners fair. -
Where are you playing your ball. It could be too far back in your stance. Play your irons off your front heel a driver setup and see if it makes a difference. Cheap fix maybe

I Shot An Eagle Before My First Ever Birdie Today
Sante TwoGloves replied to akammerer's topic in Golf Talk
I'm 56 and still looking for my first eagle. Had some eagle putts but I don't remember making any. Comgrats on your first and wish you many more. -
I was hitting my 10.5 adamsgolf redline way too high for my tastes. Got a new driver.not sure what loft it is. 12 or 12.5 is my guess and I am hitting that with a very nice trajectory. It's shorter and has more flex too so it's hard to say what made the difference for me

I did a search but didn't see anything. I'm sure it's been talked about before but who do you rank as the top ten golfers of all time?

Gambling on the golf course is it a necessity?
Sante TwoGloves replied to Mike Boatright's topic in Golf Talk
sure do. i tried taking them off a few rounds for all chips and putts and it was just too much hassle. -
generally the 19 degree hybrids replace the 5 wood. you have all the clubs you need. take all your woods and hybrids to the range and figure out which ones you hit best and what distances you get from each.

Sante TwoGloves replied to Guest2525's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
the play it again sports in my area will give you as trade in value half of what they think they can sell them for. i saw a callaway 3w and 5w priced to sale at $20 a piece so you would get $20 for both clubs. you can make more on ebay. split up the bag if you do. -
