Today I hit balls for the first time in almost three years. It felt great and made me realize how much I missed playing. Weather permitting, I plan on hitting the range again this week and playing my first round of the year very soon.

Louisville Memphis Pitt North Carolina I don't like having three #1 seeds there, but it is what it is. I didn't pick as many upsets as I did in past years. I think it's because there are fewer teams from non-power conferences.

Great thread. If you look at life closely, you'll find there is a lot for which to be thankful. Everyone has troubles, some more than others, but everyone also has lots of great, positive things in their lives.

Have you volunteered at a PGA event and if so would you recommend it?

Years back, I volunteered at the Travelers Championship (Greater Hartford Open). I marshalled a hole and measured drives for official PGA stats. I also got to meet Phil Mickelson, Joey Sindelar, and Nick Price. It was an enjoyable experience. -
The snow is melting away here after a pretty chilly week. I'm really looking forward to getting out once the conditions allow.

I've also recently come back to the game after not playing for several years. I realize how much I missed it. -
I bought a combination of new and used equipment. I got all my used equipment from ebay, and I haven't been disappointed yet.

I absolutely love the tourney, especially the first two weeks.

For me, above 40 degrees with no wind or rain.

Though no part of game game is really good, my short-iron play is probably at the top. The worst is my long irons.

I prefer to walk, as long as I'm feeling good. If I'm playing with a group that rides, I'll also ride.

I once hit my approach on a par-4 into the cup from about 150 yards out. I didn't see in go into the cup, but when I got to the green, I was very happy.

I play mostly at public courses around the area. I may get a season pass at my local course in order to save a little money.

I had two beers over the weekend I had never tried, Ipswich Oatmeal Stout and Saranac Pale Ale. I like both, but I thought the Ipswich was especially good.

I'm thinking about getting a season pass at my local municipal course. It seems like a pretty good value. It would probably stop me from playing a wider variety of area courses, but it would save me some money, and that's important. -
Text sports sims. For those that may not be familiar with them, they're somewhat like fantasy sports, but not based on actual players. You basically run a sports franchise. There are sims for most major sports. I particularly like Out of the Park Baseball and Front Office Football.

I just ordered a set of Di7 irons. I read some positive reviews on them, and the price seemed pretty good (around $200).
