Kpetrina....before we get too far OT....what you should be focusing on in the Hogan picture are the two middle fingers of his right hand.

Ok fine Nevets88....but the OP is working on a scratch HC,so effectively was Dan....that is job one to be done.....as they now say in sports..it's a "process", -

You need to separate HC from tournament play.....the Dan plan was focused on HC....I see nothing that says he didn't follow the HC system of tabulating his ,making him a 2 or 3. -
There is a thread somewhere asking about the best teaching aides,..guess what!...it's our eyes......unfortunately we look but don't see.

The Dan Plan - 10,000 Hours to Become a Pro Golfer (Dan McLaughlin)

His handicap was apparently 2 or 3 ....if there is proof otherwise, then we would like to see it.Unless you are challenging the HC system and how millions of golfers record theirs,I can only think Dan's was as legitimate as anyone else's. -
The best thing you and dkolo could do while waiting for some member insight into your swings,is contemplate the cover of this book.

Lihu...........handicaps are generally not based on tournament play....Tiger Woods shot 84....Michelle Wie was on her way to an 88 before dropping out a few years ago.

If we believe what Dan tells us,it took him 27 mos. to go from his first round of golf to shooting a round of 2 under. If true he was doing something not so funny.
-
Ok... how how much time is left on the 18 mo. plan since you began...about 6 or 7 months?
-
I would like to see Mjrowe's practice schedule. If you check out the Dan plan,he had a real rigorous one.
-
This topic is about being scratch in 18 months from 30...that is the kind of practice you have to do.
-
Very well done...you should be pleased with yourself.

The club was an example of what is needed to practice,as I say you need to do it with all the clubs,I carry the ball 250 with a driver.Lots of people on here are constantly saying they drive the ball 280 with swings that are lucky to get the ball airbourne.

Hitting 50 good shots in a row with each of 1/2 the clubs then the other 1/2 the next day....then repeat ..and repeat.. and repeat and...pretty good test of where you stand in golf.

I don't know anything about what RF is feeling...just going by the visual changes that can be seen. -
Need help with right (trailing) elbow on the downswing
collapse replied to Dave325's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
JonMA1....Bilchao said-" the small muscles are reactive to the big muscles,"............but Butch didn't get RF to change any big muscle action to produce small muscle changes....he just changed small muscle actions.....they worked alone needing no big muscle help. -
Your weight shifts to the outside of your right foot before the club even gets to the 9 o'clock position...it should be on the inside of the foot. You have no pre-swing hip shift slightly to the left with accomodating left foot toes pointing out.(this is a static position, not a kick starter)The results being your swing is too long and your upper body too upright(note left side) rather than having a slight lean to the right at the top.....I would say shanks are an inconsistent grip .

Bilchao I appreciate you are voicing an opinion on what sequentially may make the golf swing work, with big muscles leading the way.But all I would say in this regard is look at the swing change Butch Harmon had Ricky Fowler make and what was leading the way...not big muscles. -

SavvySwede....my quote says "ball striking consistency",not swing consistency.
