  1. Saevel, You did nothing wrong. If the starter let you out in front of someone, and you kept a hole in front of them all the way to the 18th tee, noboby has a reason to complain. I don't even know why people bother asking about etiquette questions here. You just get a bunch of guys who try and nitpick about anything and everything. Oh, You can't post your score!! You cheat if you play by yourself! You looked at, no you carried a phone onto a golf course! Don't know why I even read threads like this.
  2. I'd pay $5 to throw it at Tiger.

    Mike Reeder

Very cool story, thanks for sharing! Now, are the usual suspects going to come in here and say he was building his stance?
  4. Thanks TNT for showing every shot by a guy that wasn't on the first 7 pages of the leaderboard. Thank God he missed the cut! Now it will be worth watching.
  5. How about the 25 birdies for the round? My God!!
  6. Man I hope Carl comes out of the nervous hospital to caddy for him!
  7. Zero, in over 30 years!! See my avatar Congrats though
  8. I use Powerbilt TPS from the late 80's. They replaced my Wilson Reflex irons in the early 90's. I really love them. I extended each shaft 1 inch. I guess I would try some newer irons, but I play so little, I don't think it would make much of a difference.
  9. Way to go, Russ Cochran! Fellow Kentuckian with the senior Major!
  10. I played Valhalla a couple of times. It was just immaculate. I got to play Heathrow, and Keene's Point in central Florida. I think they are exclusive, but I had a friend who was a cart rep, so he got us on several nice courses in the area. That's a great friend to have!
  11. I am really not trying to start a flame war, but do you guys really care who caddies for whom?
  12. I played in a small scramble about 10 years ago. Cold, cold, cold, there was sleet for the first couple of holes. It ruined the experience for me. I haven't played golf below 60 degrees since. Just miserable!
  13. Yeah, I would stay a righty for golf. It seems to work for Mickelson! I am thinking of teaching my son to play opposite-handed, as I believe it is an advantage.
  14. I just needed to post, to see if I have a dot. edit: Nope. BTW, I actually pull for Europe in the Ryder Cup.

    What a day

That's awesome! I can't wait for my son and daughter to get a little bigger, so they can learn this great game!
  16. Yeah, that's embarrassing. But I know the feeling. At Sleepy Hollow GC here in KY, about 20 years ago, I was on the first tee. It's about 270-280 and the tee is right next to the owners house. I had an old Tourney 2-wood that I loved, and was trying to hit the green. It slipped out of my hands and went flying over my left shoulder, probably 40-50 feet high right against the brick of there house, then came down on their patio. A lady came out and handed it to me just like it happens daily, but I was red as a beet. And the club was scuffed up really bad.
  17. It will be FamousDavis in a month or two.
  18. I like Rickie, and would like to see him win today. But Jeez, he looked goofy yesterday! I know he has his own style, but that looked like someone dared him to wear it. Anyway, good luck to him, and also little Stads!
  19. Man, I hate thieves!
  20. Hole in one has to be right at the top of the list. There are tour pros that have never had one. And there are complete duffers that have had more than one. I remember seeing a video of a hockey player, playing for the first time (maybe) acing a hole in a celeb tourney! Of course, I may just be bitter.
  21. Good luck, Dave! What is Dave's last name?
  22. I wonder how many of these guys that think the Eye 2's are ugly, are hitting some freaky looking square-headed driver? The Zings are very strange looking, but the Eye 2's are great. I still carry a Ping 2-iron (I had to retire the 1-iron) and it is the best 2 I have ever hit. I would love to find a full set for under $100, hell $200 would be a steal. I believe several Tour players were still using them as of a couple of years ago.
