  1. It seems like the feet are upside down. Wouldn't you want the larger knob part to be what touches the ground?
  2. Of course I hear you and I'm not going to bash balls for 90 minutes waiting for a spot to slip in either. I'm also at a private CC too so I can just make it a practice day with my Swing Caddie SC300 (poor mans Trackman..I mean poor poor poor...LOL). I'm also a pretty chill personality type when not at work so again I just love the vibe of my club and how it operates.
  3. Fair enough. I was just explaining how my place works. I mean I am more than welcome to play with the seniors or scratch guys if I want but that isn't my crowd. I hear ya though.
  4. No place goes true anarchy. If we get enough players for the 8am game you might not get off until 8:45 or even later so that is what it is.
  5. There's a standard rhythm to our club in season. The Dew Sweepers go out at 7am, those are the scratch like players, we all suck so they don't want crap in front of them..lol. I'm in the next wave at 8am called the Misfit Toys which is about 1/3 of the membership and we play your classic big and mandatory internal games...lots of fun and how I've met most of my friends there. There's a lull until 10am and that's when the seniors go out 7 days a week. Casual players go off around 11-2pm or so and then juniors can start going off at 2pm on to 3:30PM depending on what they've been rated for per our junior program bag tag system for them. If you want to play on Friday with work buds make sure you're off before noon as lots of guys take half days around then is when it gets that weekend vibe going. It works for our club as they've never had tee times apparently since the club was created in 1922. I'm starting my second year now and I haven't seen a problem yet but I get how it can be an issue for huge clubs. I think we have 300 full time male players with an active female and junior programs that have all sorts of set times to play during the week. It just works for us and I love the freedom of getting there knowing I can just whack balls at the range until 1 opens up.
  6. My club doesn't have tee times and it works really well. If 1 is open you can on up there. if it's occupied you can wait in the group or groups behind it. If you want to tee off on 10 you just tell the pro shop you're thinking of it and as long as no one is anywhere on 9 (not even the tee box) you're cleared to go on 10.
  7. I used my QOD twice before yesterday for a few trial runs on several holes each time. Yesterday I walked the full 18 with it and man alive was it awesome. My course has two long uphill holes on the back 9 that usually destroy me as well as a gradual but constant rise in elevation on 9 and 18. I walked with the cart downhill without power most of the time and only used the powered wheels going up hill or letting it go ahead by 30 seconds on longer flat runs. This is game changing for me as this is the first time I've walked a round in basically 3 months and only second time really playing. I'm a bit tired in my legs but that good tired feeling and not worn out. I'm hoping I can get into better shape and use my Clicgear Model 8 again for a bit better a workout but this was awesome for me as I shouldn't have to cart again other than hosting guests.
  8. I think you might want to look at your situation differently. Maybe you aren’t hitting as far as you want but are you able to play pain-free and more frequently? Clubbing up is an ego thing but playing more often is ideal.
  9. I have a complete CBX bag through wedges. That’s the previous version so I’d assume the CBX2’s would be a bit better. Price aside I can’t recommend them enough so maybe wait for a sale or a deal to come by.
  10. Hey guys, what bag do you use with your QOD caddy? Is any particular cart bag better than another?
  11. Where in DE was this pitch and putt?
  12. In my third year of golfing I want to achieve the following.. Decrease my index from 24.1 to mid to low teens Improving ball striking via shortened back swings, choking up on the grip and continued lessons Improve lag putting, this along with my driver need constant improving Increase my fitness Purchased a motorized push cart so I walk more often than cart in 2020 Continue my healthier eating Increase strength conditioning Improve mental game Focus on positive thinking Shake off a bad shots and not let it snowball into blow ups Increase my enjoyment of the game, stop feeling down or dejected after a bad round, it still beats work
  13. Thanks guys, I'm buying it tonight.
  14. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the QOD electric caddy. How do you owners like it a year later?
  15. I voted for Cleveland because my entire bag is Cleveland but I agree with you. Between the two companies they’re as good as any other vendor and priced just right for me.
  16. I have the same 3 clubs but Cleveland’s version. I do swap the 3h with my 5w from time to time but I’m not very good at hitting fairway woods off of the deck yet so they’re a necessity for me.
  17. I don’t have that bag but it just means the grips can get tangled on the clubs that aren’t in the sections with full dividers. I have (2) 14 way bags (cart and stand) and neither have the full dividers...it can be annoying at times. I might get a 5 way bag next when I feel like getting a new one with my home club’s logo on it.
  18. This is me too. Hell, I don’t even care if people are talking or laughing, I don’t care about noise at all. It’s my peripheral vision as you stated I want to be “quiet”.
  19. How timely, I am in the same boat. I’m much better at not coming over the top anymore and I think my lie needs to be adjusted for a few clubs at least. I swing a bit more consistently too now so I might even just get a “full” fitting again even though I don’t want new clubs. I want to see if I need to change my shafts out too. I figure new shafts on year old clubs due to a marked improvement in swing isn’t the worst thing..lol
  20. What putter is Molinari using? I thought he was a Bettinardi guy
  21. I can’t watch golf (or any sport I guess besides hockey) without my DVR. There are so many commercials almost everything is unwatchable these days.
  22. It’s unbearable, I’ve turned it off.
  23. I purchased my first set of golf clubs early last year. I "upgraded" my putter during a Black Friday sale at my CC as they had Scotty's 25% off so I couldn't resist. I purchased my clubs after taking a lesson and not being very good (I'm still not) and I think they're wonderful. If my game gets considerably better over the next few years I'll consider upgrading and keeping these for myself as I age or as a spare set for friends that want to play but don't play enough for their own. I hope this comes to fruition as it means I've gotten so much better than I am now but I'm not holding my breath..lol
  24. I love their banter. I think this podcast is about best friends hanging out with golf as their favorite thing to do. Actually becoming scratch golfers...I don’t think they see that as attainable since they have jobs and families occupying their time. I enjoy the podcast for what it is and not a literal journey to becoming scratch golfers.
  25. There are lots of serious golf entertainment outlets available online. These guys are genuine friends. I love how they interviewed their wives and weave their personal stories as they go along. If they were +3 players I think the podcast would be terribly boring. I dare say if they actually got good enough to become scratch golfers the content wouldn't be as fun to listen to.
