  1. I think of lag as two angles...1) the angle formed by hinging your wrists upward and 2) the hinge formed on the back of your right wrist. Both angles need to me maintained as long as possible. How far they hinge is a function of flexibility in your hands. (IE Sergio). In that drill the rubber band thingy for sure is working the up/down angle however it appears to have the opposite effect on the back of your right hand. It is forcing the back of your rt wrist to straighten and the face to open. Also I recommend you close the drapes while doing that drill.
  2. is spf 50 the best you can get? I don't know..maybe a dermatologist out there somewhere...I'm in S. FLA so skin cancer is a major concern for golfers. I would guess golf pros have it figured out.
  3. I had horrible balance back in the '70's...took a few years of karate and fixed me..any martial arts training is excellent for body awareness.
  4. Not to hi jack your thread but talking about sun protection I was wondering the last few weeks what kind of sun block those guys wear. Watching Bubba and Kucher their forearms are about 3 shades darker than their faces..and Bubba's face looks almost pasty. As much as they are in the sun it must be excellent stuff. I remember seeing Sabatini at Doral spray something all over his face and it wasn't bug spray.
  5. anyone think that Laird's girlfriend hanging around wringing her hands looked kinda creepy? Like if he got the $1.3M she was running onto the green like Happy Gilmore grab that big check and run away.
  6. I was in Belgium a few years ago and a customer bought me a beer said it was made using the same formula the monks used like 800 years ago...it was pretty nasty stuff but I can't remember the name...You got any idea what it was?

    tosh.o

    i'm 54 asked my kid (18) he said "douche" I kinda agreed...sorry
  8. Guinness Draught...but if I did it every day I'ld be 300#...so Miller Lite is my girlie man response...
  9. the 60º pissed me off or years...I took the summer to study it, to practice with it, to make love to it....ya know what I learned...it's the basis of the full swing. If you can hit a 60º 20, 30, 40 yds with a good strike and a crisp sound it WILL translate to your full swing. The journey is worth it. (just don't kill anyone on the practice green)
  10. depends...are you an IRS agent, a cop or a douche bag?
  11. good swing I can see that carrying 270 (at sea level with no wind) and if you are in the mid west with a 20 MPH breeze and burned out fairways a bit down hill...for sure thats goin' 300... OK bro you're my daddy!
  12. shout out to MJP, I was looking for this thread...couldn't find it....thanks!
  13. 39 / 39 78...man africa hot out there today even on the Beach with a little breeze.
  14. yeh that's good,,I'll be at the Doral Ale House by 4 if you want to hear the gory details.
  15. I was a member at Ridgeway in Germantown for a few years...great golfing town.
  16. I go to Lampkin full cord..this year I got GP NDMC's and here in FLA with the humidity I think they are slippery. My son on the other hand agrees with u, he hates the Lampkins as they tear up his hands.
  17. got a 10:30 time thursday @ the Beach.
  18. i had to chuckle at your comment on the sales tax holiday...we had an article in the local paper yesterday on the crazy stuff that is included. The purpose of the "holiday" is so that parents can buy "back to school" stuff like clothes and school supplies. What it's turned out to be is a sales boost for private interests who can get the corrupt SOB's in Tallahassee to vote for their particular products to be included...like snow ski equipment!!! in Florida!! or scuba equipment? Didn't even think about golf clubs. Thanks for the tip!!
  19. Summer rates are $32 M-Thursday after 10am.
  20. read it back in the '70's...screwed me up for years.
  21. you'ld probably tear ligament in your wrist if you tried to achieve that lag.
  22. aren't you the kid who locked himself in the basement a few weeks ago?
  23. I had just the opposite impression...I normally use Lamkin cords, edwin watts guy was out so I took the GPNDMC. I thought in the humidity they were not that good. Not horrible but I just think full cords in humid climates are better.
  24. unfortunatly its not the time on the green but it's the number of rounds of golf you can get in PLUS the lessons and practice. You can learn the swing on the range or your stroke on the practice green but nothing replaces playing to actually "learn" how to play golf. For me it's 2 rounds a week, plus about 200 practice balls spread out over the week. Maybe others have different "comfort levels". If I go 2 weeks without playing my long game is normal but my depth perception and feel is a trainwreak.
  25. yeh I saw that also...lmao. I'm catholic I told my kid to stay as far away from those creeps as possible.
