Recently I ordered and have been using a pair of prescription Oakley wire sunglasses with polorized black iridium lenses. They have been great for several reasons. First, I have a better field of vision than with my glasses, I am one of the few people who just can't get contacts in. Second the black iridium has a redish tint to the glasses so everything seems to pop a little bit. I liken it to red googles I use when skiing. The red helps provide definition to the terrain in low light or overcast skies. The red tint in my sunglasses are great since I live in Michigan, and anyone who lives in Michigan will freely attest that the skys are ussually gray, except for July and August (will have to test on those days, but they have worked on the sunny days I have used them on so far). Finally, they fit great and don't slip off (will have to test during July and August as well).

They have worked well on the greens and on the tee box. I would recommend them to anyone.

Could never wear sunglasses when reading a green, putting or hitting a shot. Then I met Dr Craig Farnsworth, an eye doctor and PGA Professional who has worked with Faldo and others. He recommended PeakVision sunglasses because the lenses have no distortion and the tinting helps read greens better. So I bought a pair online ( www.PeakVisionSports.com ) and I've been wearing them and recommending them ever since. Way better than any Oakley I ever tried.

I have had a sponorship with several sunglass companies thru my cycling teams. I bet I have 30 pairs lying around the house.

Here Here for Rudy Project. Money well spent. They make a specific model for golf. I were Oakleys too but cannot play with them on (too many blind spots)

Check out the Rudy's.. Mike

Hey all. This might seem like a weird post but im wondering what kind of sunglasses you use and what u would reccomend? I have a pair of Arnettes which i love, but they dont block much of the sun. I find myslef squinting even with them on. Has anyone used a pair of sunglasses that you swear by? I would love to hear what everyone recommends.

Oakley 50% of the time on the track, Bolle's 20%, and Costa Del Mar's 20%...forget them in the car...10%. Oakley's are like budda', but the Costa's are best on the eye's hands down. Bolle's are great in overcast conditions.

help please!

i went to the mall today to find "the ones" i wanted to buy. obviously i am looking for a pair that i can wear anywhere but that are great for the golf course as well....so i need good lens coverage.

after trying on waaaaay too many pair here is where i am at....all 3 pairs are polarized and each can be had for under $150....so i now have to figure out which is my fav.

is there a site on line that has reviews of glasses? or are their too many kinds to oraganize that type thing?

its gonna be one of these three:

maui jim hookipa

maui jim makaha

www.mauijim.com/mjweb/public/images/lores/sngl/LQG405-02.jpg
bolle kickbacks

the difference in the Makaha and the Hookipa is the size of the lens. they look very similar, but the Hookipa would give more coverage. i normally hate big lens'd glasses, but i am looking for ones i can wear playing golf too, so the better coverage (meaning fewer distractions from frames to normal light, the better)

I had an amazing pair of Nike's that I found for 24.99 at a TJ Maxx ( http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...TEGORY_ID=5067 )

to keep it short, I lost them this April. They were a great pair of glasses, fit well and kept light out well. After searching high and low for another deal I realized that was a once in a million deal... someone working there didn't realize what they had. I had to sack up and purchase a pair of oakley m frames. They are great glasses and have the same performance specs as my Nikes, only 130 more.

oakley riddles with the fire iridium lenses in them. They are very light toned lenses (almost orange) but still block just as much sunlight.

i had some arnettes that had polarized lenses and when the ball would drop below the tree line i would loose it. i just bought some half jackets with regular lenses and they definitely feel and i can see through them better for golf.

i wear prescription glasses when reading or if i am on the computer so i am thinking about checking on some prescription lenses for the half jackets

I have some Maui Jim's Sport glasses. I absolutely love them. This is my 2nd pair and I wouldn't get anything else. I almost got a pair of the new Revo's but I really liked the weight or lack of weight with the Maui Jim's. They are also very good about getting the sun from the sides.

If so, what kind? Do you wear them the entire round, or do you take them off to putt?

I recently got a nice pair of Bolle golf sunglasses with eaglevision lenses, and while they are great glasses, I think they may take some getting used to. I do want to protect my eyes though.

No I have bad vision but i find it very difficult to live life through a lense...i should wear contacts though

"People think the size of the head is most important. Wrong. It's getting a quality shaft. test different shafts to see which goes the straightest. Also, more degrees of loft on the head is better than less. Eleven degrees is about right."
