2015 AFL Football Thread

A few years ago, a friend of mine got me to watch a single AFL (Arena Football League) game on TV and I've been hooked ever since. It's got lots of the things that make the NFL fun to watch, with a lot less drawback. The rules aren't strictly the same as the NFL, but you'll be able to follow it, even if you don't read about it here: http://www.arenafootball.com/about/afl-rules.html If you're considering watching, the season starts TONIGHT with two should-be-good games. Your local listings might have them, and various teams (and the league) have, in the past, put (legal!) streams on the internet for anyone interested in watching but who can't see it on TV. Sunday night, at 7pm eastern (just as the TOUR's event is winding down) has Philadelphia at Orlando on ESPN2. Monday night, at 10:30 pm eastern has San Jose at the franchise opening game for the Las Vegas Outlaws on CBS Sports. If you're looking for football to watch and can't wait for the NFL to start back up, I suggest you give it a try. If you used to like football, but get fed up with the state of the game, whether it's the pace of it or animosity between fans of various teams, give this a try.
