As the day gets shorter and shorter, and DST is soon to end..........
(BTW, why the heck don't we split the difference to 30 minutes, and leave all the clocks alone??)

What's the most holes you have ever played in a day?

For me:
Walking - 40
Riding - 60

Yes, doctor, I have an addiction....

52 holes at Blacklick Woods in Reynoldsburg, OH carrying. Darn course used to let you play all you want for a flat rate greens fee, looks like they don't anymore though. Feet gave out.

Tomahawk Hills in Shawnee, KS was the same deal all day greens fee ($17 because they were working on the course). Only made 45 holes carrying though (but took the shuttle when it was available). Feet gave out.

Walking and riding - 36. Once by riding, a dozen or so times by walking. It's *great* to walk 36 regularly if you can, since while you're doing that, then you play 18 another day and don't get tired!

I've walked more than that in a day, but it was a par-3 course with free replays. I'm only counting regulation courses in this count.

The most I played was back in high school. A buddy and me played 63 holes in one day walking. We use to average at least 45 holes because our parents would drop us off early in the morning, and pick us up at 7:00 at night. It was a fun time that I'll always remember.

54 walking when I was a kid. We got to the course at first light but couldn't tee off because the greens were frozen! We played until it got dark.

Are you talking about the 4x10 up the hill "elevator?" I forgot all about that! I remember playing there and the marshalls would ferry up the walkers because the thing was broken 90 percent of the time!

My personal best is 54 holes riding at the course in Anita, Iowa. Our goal was 72 but it was raining when we got there so we didn't get out until about 7:00, and then the guy driving got a call from his dad about 3:00 needing to be picked up in St. Louis, so we finished that round and left about 4:00 or so. At the rate we were going we could have easily done 72 (as sunset was after 8:00 at that time of year). We have never done more than 36 in a day since . . . .

I'm pretty sure it was 72, walking. This was back when I was in junior high and had a membership at our local course (not my current course). My friend and I headed to the course in the morning and golfed all day :). Stopped for some lunch but that was about it. Course wasn't busy so we could make good time. I've walked 36 at my current home course a few times this year, but I don't think I could do anymore...just don't have the time anymore and the course is always somewhat busy so it would take a long time...plus it's got some decent elevation changes and I'm not in junior high anymore lol!

Maybe, just maybe, I'll get crazy next year and see how many holes I can do.

Haha, nice. I lived in Alaska for a year when I was one year old, but went back 4 years ago. We got in at like 2 in the morning and it was like just before sunset back home.

I am going to play 36 on Friday. We have fall break and greens fee is $15 all day for a student. I'll play more if the course isn't too bad. I will break in my new irons then too.

Walking? well I think it was some 30 holes or so. But see, I play a golf course that cannot compare to your golf courses because where I play is a sort of a mountain golf course. The course mesures 6.2k meters, but if you count the lenght that you have to walk to get to the next tee, you'd have to add up more 5k meters. Thats a hell of a lot...

In my bag:

Titleist 905 Aldila VS Proto| TaylorMade r9 stiff shaft| Titleist 906F Aldila NV 75-S Fairway| Titleist ZM S300 (3-PW) |Titleist 54º SM TT Wedge Flex| Titleist 60º SM TT Wedge Flex| Scotty Cameron Newport 2

09 Goals- Handicap to 2 (I'm crazy I know)- Win 10 tournaments (dune)- Win...

Stack System’s marketing materials inflate apparent swing speed and distance gains through selective presentment of data without qualification that purported gains are not the result, in whole or part, of its training protocol and products. * Yes, I'm joking about abbreviating both "SS." SuperSpeed wants: A judgment that the Stack System has disseminated false and/or misleading information in violation of federal and Illinois law. The deletion of all false advertising distributed and recall of all packaging containing false advertising and a requirement that Stack System issue notices (written or otherwise) to that effect to all current distributors and retailers of its products and all distributors with whom Stack System has done business in the past eighteen months. Written confirmation within 30 days of an injunction detailing the manner and form in which Stack System has complied. An order that Stack System disseminate corrective advertising informing consumers, the trade, and the public of Stack System’s unlawful conduct. 3X all profits received by Stack System as a result of its unlawful actions. 3X all damages sustained by SuperSpeed (as a result of Stack System’s actions) The cost of the action All reasonable attorney fees All other relief to which SuperSpeed are entitled and such other or additional relief as just and proper. Oy.
    • I'm not doing this for the hundred and twentieth time. Sorry in advance, but you get the massively abridged version. Those guys also benefited from the weaker/shallower fields. Also, Watson's career doesn't overlap with Jack's like many think it did. Tom is nearly a decade younger. Jack won only like four majors only after Tom won his first. And Tom won more British Opens than he did all three of the other majors combined, as it was his specialty (not Jack's). Arnie's career similarly doesn't overlap Jack's as much as many think.   Jack would also tell you Tiger was the better golfer.
    • Weaker depth of fields for sure. Some of the top level guys with Jack were pretty awesome. Tom Watson had the lead on the 72nd hole of the 2009 British Open, an event where Tiger missed the cut. Old Tom was almost 60 years old. Jack himself at age 58 finished Top 10 at The 1998 Masters and scored better than Tiger, who won The Masters by 12 shots just a year before that.   The success of both Tom & Jack in older age gives some hope that maybe Tiger can find the magic again at some point. He’s still trying to figure out how to build the stamina for 72 holes after the leg injury. I would love to see him jump on the leaderboard in the coming years. I know a lot of people have given up on him at this point, but that was also true from 2014 to 2017 with the back injuries. He had a hell of a resurgence in 2018 & 2019. Would be fun to see it again.
    • Perceptive rules question by caddie unlocks Tour pro’s ‘dead zone’ relief A perceptive rules question by Xander Schauffele’s caddie, Austin Kaiser, unlocked “dead zone” relief during the Wells Fargo Championship.
    • I ran across an interesting new clip, Johnson Wagner went into that spot with the Referee who allowed the relief.  Apparently there was a perfectly reasonable shot to be made, as Johnson clearly demonstrated, so relief from the TIO was perfectly appropriate.
