Hey all, Here are my issues,

1) I played a Scotty Circa #1, and i putted real well with it, but at times it felt a bit to soft, kinda like hitting a Blade pure.

2) I dont release the toe very well, so would a putter like the black series #9 work well for me? Something heel shafted?

3) belly putter? have kinda been considering one..would this maybe help with the toe flow?

4) Kneck Bends- HATE! Offset, even the half offset in m big oaks T'Ville is driving me crazy, and the plumbers kneck in my newport is just ugly.

So i guess im asking for a putter that is soft but not way soft, heel shafted, and with no shaft offset, and the advantages/disadvantages of a Belly putter.

Thanks!

Brian

Reason im asking is, theres to much snow on the ground to do any putter testing, and the "greens" at golfsmith just dont give me a fantastic feel for putters..

Cleveland recently came out with a putter similar in shape to a #9 and it isn't nearly as soft. Not too pricey either.

Since you say you do not release the toe very well, have you considered a center-shafted model. I know they are not for everyone, but they work great for the square-to-square putting strokes and for those that do not release the putter head well. I think they simplify the stroke because you don't have to think as much about the arc on the stroke. I personally play with a center-shafted Scottie Cameron Futura Phantom at the moment and like the feel of it. I definitely putt better with center-shafted models.

Check out the new Cleveland Classics series, great putters for the money. I'd also look into a center shafted putter, if you really can't fix your releasing problem.

I just switched to the never compromise mallet putter with the gray matter and never putted better. They run used just under $100.

I agree, 2-Balls are perfect, and are a great value too. I have seen them for under $100 on various golf deal sites.

I actually upgraded to a 2-Ball from a puter I took from a putt putt place. Sliced at least 10 strokes off my game.

Hey all, Here are my issues,

use a cpl putters (depending on green conditions) golf over in boston area - played 10 days ago - nice - 42 and windy. mizuno black carbon - lighter for faster greens - best touch; see more milled mfgp black [just bought 3Mw - check it out- you might like; small mallet]. the see mores are for spring/late fall/winter greens. good luck - warmer there sooner than here! tomm

Just like he said a center shafted putter would probably do you good. Scotty just came out w/ a kind of center shafted(not sure what the shaft is called) studio select squareback putter heres the link

I also like center shafted models and may go to one soon but I have a problem, I love blade style putters, right now I'm playing a Odyssey white hot tour #1 I love the feel it's got a nice firm click to it, but have noticed with center shafted putters that you really don't have to do anything but swing the putter it makes the putting stroke simple

I have an Odyssey Black Series i #9 and it is such a great looking putter. I still have a problem releasing the toe sometimes. I've been looking at the Rife Bimini which has even more toe flow, feels solid, not too soft.
