Can you believe they are 4 and 1???

I just can't believe they are good. They have beaten two good teams too.

Palmer is showing something and they actually have a good defense.

I am amazed and excited. My town needs a winner.

They shouldn't have beaten the Steelers. Dick LeBeau seems to have had a lobotomy in the off-season... I doubt they'll beat the Steelers the next time. Or the Ravens again.

Not trying to talk much smack - I'm not very high on the Steelers this year. I came into the season worried about Bruce Arians (OC). He still sucks, but somehow, the DC LeBeau has shit the bed the worst. The Bears game and the Cinci game were easy wins that the Steelers let go with horrible, horrible D. And, frankly, I'd probably rather the Bengals beat out the Ravens this year, if for no other reason than the Bengals will be an easier team in the playoffs. Plus Baltimore, blech. Can't stand that team.

I have alot of respect for the Steelers. They are a good team. I agree but you have to give the bengals credit. They made it happen just as much as the steelers let it go.

It is finally nice to have some excitement. Stealing some from Pittsburg.

The Bengals are one of many teams in the NFL that can be great early and midway through a season , but rarely are able to finish it off. My thought is that's how this season will end for them again.

I'm astonished at this, too.

Who'd of thunk it......"Child Please".

I never thought I'd say this, but Chad Ochocinco Johnson is really growing on me. I like how he's handling the hype....nay...managing the hype to his team's benefit. Too bad T.O. never tried this method. Terrell has done nothing to help me on my fantasy league...I'm dropping him...I think....I dunno...yep he's gone!!!!

Another amazing accomplishment is the start that Denver has had.....5 & 0 !!!!!!! I never would have gambled on this during all the preseason bullcrap that was brewing. I'm glad for them, if for no other reason that I have much respect and admiration for Knowson Moreno. I hope he has a super NFL career. It was cool seeing their coach really show his emotion and sense of accomplishment after the victory over the Pats.

Aww the bungles, I mean the Bengals. I don't know how they pulled it out against the Steelers, but they did. We need troy back in a big way.

I agree with Iacas, the Steelers are scaring me every game. However, they always start shaky and finish the season strong. The Pens are looking amazing though!

I gotta give them credit to Cincinnati, they're looking good. The Broncos too. They pulled it out against New England.

I'm a big bengals fan too and i am on cloud 9 because of this team right now. I'm not sure this team will implode because they actually have a good D this year and the schedual is in their favor. They also seem to have more resolve than previous teams. Baring injury, this year may be a 3 horse race in the AFC North.

I do not think we will lose both of our remaining games to the Ravens and steelers. I think we will split which should put us in great position.

It would be nice to blow a team or 2 out though.

Benson and Palmer are playing quite well. I am not a particular Bengals fan, but this year they are a great story. Chad 8-5 Johnson is the real deal, and he has some help developing in the receiver corp. The Bengals need Benson to be motivated, consistent, and fresh. I would like to see the rookie B. Scott get a few more carries to keep Benson healthy -- it is a long season.

They still get to play Kansas City (0-5), Detroit (1-4), Cleveland (1-4) Houston (2-3) and the Raiders (1-4).

They have six tough games left. They should end the season at 11-5 easy.

I just don't agree that you can compare this team to 2005 when we lost to the steelers in the playoffs. If palmer isn't hurt, there is no telling what the outcome of that season would be.

They actually have a defense. The first time in a long long time.

I have news for ya the Bengals are going to lose this week to the incredible Steelers and Big Ben with his 71% pass completions. I'm not sure how many QB's have finished a season or been at that % of a completion rate at this point of the season. How are the Bengals going to compete against that. GO STEELERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do they have a better record than the bengals?

As of Sunday evening they will.

I live about 3 hours south of Cincy and I've tried to like the Bengals but I just can't. I'm a diehard Steelers fan. I don't hate the Bengals like I do the Ravens and the Cowboys but I can honestly say that they are playing very well and are no joke this year. But, come sunday night, I hope they're hurtin. Plus, Can Carson Palmer shoot in the 80's at Beth Page Black, I think not.

I think the game tomorrow will answer a lot of questions about whether or not the bengals have what it takes to make the playoffs.

The biggest factor in determining a team's playoff mettle is being able to upset a GOOD team on the road. If it's a close game, I'll give the bengals a little more respect (I don't think they have a shot at actually winning -- but if they can keep from being blown out...)

Let's see how Benson does against a real run defense too. Adrian Peterson couldn't even do much against the Steelers....... And I just don't like Benson, but it's personal.

After seeing this thread it reminded me of something I read on ESPN yesterday. Do you believe Chad Ochocinco should of been fined $20K for the "bribe" last sunday? He was just having fun, I think it's pretty ridiculous, especially 20,000 dollars.

Don't forget, Carson Palmer has been hurt the last few seasons. Last year, the Bengals were sporting Fitzpatrick at QB. Chad Ochocinco seems to be back to old fun Chad instead of "Diva" Johnson. Also, it seems like the defense has really stepped it up this year. It helps when the rookie up front Odom is having a pro bowl type season.

    • Of course. I've used different words to start, but like 90-95% of the time it's been this one. And I'm unlikely to switch now.
    • Welcome to TST @Camjr.   We're glad you've joined.
    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
    • Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group. Cheers all,
    • I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
