Well, had a GREAT lesson today. Heading out in the morning to play 18 before work and am really going in with more confidence than ever! Not looking for a miracle but have a better plan of course management and some confidence around the greens! We'll see how it goes!!!! Either way, got three days of great weather and golf everyday so worst case, it's still gonna be great!!!!

I've been in the same situation. I know I got many problems in my swing, but on a lesson I got only one thing to work with. I kept my focus on only that detail, and it worked! My other flaws were present, I can't expect to fix everything at once, but a single (video) lesson was all I had before golf for 4-5 days. I didn't fix the problem, but I managed to keep focus on it, and subsequently played very well. Playing golf to work on something is not a bad idea. It is easy to start minigunning balls at the range, which can do more harm than good. On the course, you hit a shot, walk 100-200 yards, hit the next etc. I was very pleased that I'm able to make changes on the course and see the difference.

Best of luck to you!

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Well, I went out today and was feeling great! I took my time warming up. Got to the first tee and hit it about 230 with a slight fade. Started my day out with a par. I did start on the back nine which is the harder part of the course but managed it with a couple pars and no triples! Ended the first 9 ten over. As I started the second nine, everything came together better than ever. I wasn't overthinking it. Hit 6 of 9 GIR's and missed one by 3 feet and another by 5! Missed two birdie putts by 6 inches. One stopped just right of the hole, 2" away and another stopped 4" short! Ended the second 9 seven over. Wasn't really disapointed with that either as I missed several putts but didn't miss any by over 3'! Didn't realize until I was unloading and decided to add the score up that I'd finished the day with a 89! My first day in the 80's and really feel like I played my best golf to date! And it was comforting that those were both on the same day!!!! Can't wait for tomorrow. Son has a lesson and then I'm playing tomorrow afternoon again!!

Going to take my first lesson tomorrow. Should be perfect timing with three days off to perfect what I learned. I am jazzed about it!!

I starting video taping myself this week. I know pretty much what I am doing wrong but not how to fix it. So I figure I better get it straightened out so I can progress to my goal of single digit.

Not to jinx you, but sometimes the first round (and often the first hole) is the best. Just have fun out there.

No worries there! I'm not the guy that gets mad or frustrated! I have a BLAST everytime I go out even if I shoot 130!!!! I just got serious last year so I'm nowhere near good enough to be mad when I play poorly! LOL
