Sunday 18th hole, I chip and 2 putt leave the course. Go to the driving range monday and my SW is missing!?! Called the course and surprise, surprise no one turned it in (its 4yrs old and worn for crying out loud). I never forget clubs at the course but for some reason I did on that day.

Funny thing is I bought a new gap wedge in the morning too. I was thinking about replacing this club but always felt so comfortable chipping with it everywhere.

happened to me two weeks ago. Had a couple hours to kill so played a quick par 3 9 hole course for just $10. $10 turned out to be $100 because I lost my damn 52* wedge!

Same here - at my course, everything gets turned in. Sucks that people think finding clubs on the course is a "bonus" gift. This year alone, I have found and turned in 2 clubs and a headcover. Treat others the way you want to treated - wise words to live by...

It won't guarantee you people deliver it back, but getting some labels with your details on might help.

Top quality labels, very cheap, very easy. I've labelled all my clubs, but luckily not had the need for it yet.

Yeah that's too bad that people at your course don't turn in clubs, I think it's just the spirit of the game to return that club. I've had that honor code branded into by my grandpa, and it only reinforced it after somebody returned my lost SW, even though I had only played two rounds with it.

I have left a sandwedge a few times. The girl behind the counter at the usual club knows me. I always call the next day or whatever and yeah they have it. What really freaked her out was when I called about my missing 5 iron. She typically has a stack of SW in the lost and found and takes a while to find it. Very rarely do they find a 5 iron. I dont even remember how I left it there. Those were my old crappy clubs. Now that I have titleist and vokeys it sucks but I have to remember not to leave em and not to leave them unattended at the range or in the car or anything.

    • Committing to one brand of ball this year - Snell MTB Prime X, the 5 doz. pack. Like how they perform for me. At $18/doz., can live with cover scuffing. Iron regripping with GolfPrice MCC+4 Teams std. in red/navy. May be retiring Odyssey Dual Force after 30 yrs. Seems like I can't get it to the hole anymore. Kind of light and has lots of toe hang. My reg. group's hounding finally wore me down.    From Callaway preowned - trying out the Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K in double wide (less toe hang) and triple wide (face balanced). Both also noticeably heavier...we shall see.
    • WOW, it looks like he has been hitting stones with that putter to put all of those nicks into it.  I can't see how a ball would cause many those dings.
    • I'm fighting a knee as well as a foot so I "Feel your pain".  Luckily for me the PT is helping at this time and I am hoping knee surgery is not imminent.  Best of luck to you.
    • I would guess putting grooves in it might make it non-conforming. I am not sure how stringent the USGA is on restoring golf clubs.
    • If PT doesn't work, then all other options (shots) are just temporary bandages of the pain. You may do more damage. Pain is the bodies way of telling you to STOP. Once you get rid of that, you are just now using an already damaged body part and put more stress and strain on it.
