I do not see how some of the players are allowed on the Euro Ryder Cup team, for example Ian Poulter lives in Florida and last I knew just recently became a U.S. citizen... Luke Donald calls Chicago home and Paul Casey has lived in Arizona longer than he has lived in England.... Maybe you make a claim for citizenship for Donald and Casey but Ian is a U.S. citizen... Opinions?

Haven't heard or read anything about Poulter changing nationality, got any source for that?

The other two...well, doesn't matter where you live.

These guys play on the PGA tour which is based primarily in the USA. I'm going to assume nearly every PGA tour player has a residence in the USA and calls it home in some way or another. They are more European than Tiger or Phil.

So should they be forced to play for the US team? Or are they not allowed to play at all?

I must have heard this wrong or misunderstood what he was saying in this show about his life and business but he does live primarily in Florida.

I think they do it based on where you were born. Personally, I would make it a choice between where you were born and where you have citizenship. I hate how in the World Baseball Classic (once again, talkin' to you Bud Selig) , and the Olympics to some extent, you can play where your parents were born or held citizenship, or even where you are a resident.

If you are a British citizen, you are allowed dual citizenship.

Once a Briton, always a Briton: UK policy does not allow British citizens to voluntarily renounce said status, even if naturalized citizenship is established in another country.

Come on, you know why this is allowed. Otherwise, there wouldn't be enough countries to hold a World Baseball Classic - at least not a competitive classic.

It would seem that one country is enough to have a "World Series" in baseball. Or is t two?

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.
