Hmm, may be I'm missing something, but I favor Lesner over Velasquez; I guess we will see this Saturday nite.

I am sure that Lesnar is heavily favored over Velasquez....but I think Brock can't stand to be hit and I am still a little suspect of his chin. If anyone can test that, it's Cain. Lesnar would have been beat, IMO, if Carwin hadn't punched himself out. Cain won't punch himself out. Cain has a good wrestling pedigree, speed, KO power, better standup, and just as good or maybe better cardio. Lesnar has strength, size, and reach. Like Cain's camp says, "We can win the fight anywhere, but we can lose it on the ground." I think it will be hard for Brock to get Cain down.

I think Cain is too small. I love his skills but when someone isnt as big as brock a'la carwin IMO they dont stand much of a chance outside your typical punchers chance. Soon as brock gets the double its time to start chugging the Coors Lights and watch the fireworks. Im really looking forward to seeing Court fight too great story great kid great fighter Go CoURT!

Brock had a tough time wrestling with Randy and look how small he is (Randy would have had 3 takedowns on Brock had Brock not grabbed the fence twice....and Randy was, what....235 maybe?). I just think that Brock's wrestling is a little overrated. I mean, I know he is good and has the background to prove it, but I don't think he is so good that no one stands a chance. Now I agree that when Brock gets on top of you, you are in for a long night, but he has to get you down first and Cain was a good wrestler in his own right and does a great job getting back to his feet when on on the ground. You make a good point though....can't argue with that. I agree about Court too...I like him

Good point but Randy is Captain freaking America nobody can really mess with that. He's a world class Greco guy and has perfect control of leverage. Im not sure of Cains credentials I know he's got some really good wrestling background, and I would love, I mean love to see him out wrestle Brock. But Brock is just soo explosive something can happen at any moment, Randy described boxing with brock as having somebody repeatedly hurling a full canned ham at your face. You can move around alot but eventually its going to clip you and that will hurt.

But I dont think Brock will do much Boxing hes going to come out and look for the TD like the Carwin fight.

Brock couldn't go all gunghso takedowns against carwin because of the power Carwin has. Cain is a good striker, but his TKO come from punches in bunches. That should work more to Lesnar's advantage as he can focus more on his strength, which is wrestling. I see Lesnar securing a takedown within the first minutes of the fight and pulling off a powerful armbar. His BJJ under Comprido is making great advancements. The way he moved his hips and whipped his legs to setup the arm triangle on Carwin was a high level move. He already has exceptional top control and I think this fight he will show some more of his vastly improving BJJ game.

Judging his BJJ against Carwin in the 2nd round is not justifiable IMO. Anyone in the UFC could have taken Carwin down and submitted him in the 2nd round....he put up no resistance because he couldn't move. Anyone's BJJ will look good against someone that is not resisting. I know that Brock is getting better, but the only move we have seen him do is the arm triangle.

Watching his fights, his double leg is pretty telegraphed. This is one reason I think he is overated. He is quick and moves well on the ground though. Cain is a much better fighter than Carwin, IMHO, and this fight will go much differently.

Cain and Brock are both accomplished wrestlers so they may opt to keep it on their feet since the wresting will be neutralized. Brock will have a weight advantage, but Cain will be faster. If either gets hurt they will switch back to wrestler mode for survival, and it will be interesting to see who has the advantage then. Cain has better all around skills than Carwin, and he won't gas like Carwin did. I think Brock wins because he will probably have at least a 25lb weight advantage and is stronger than Cain.

Good points. I actually think Cain's technique will be the bigger advantage than speed on the feet. As far as who has the advantage in the wrestling, I think that will come down to who is on top. If Brock ends up on top, Cain will have a helluva time getting that beast off of him. But if Cain ends up on top, he some really good GnP with a good killer instinct.
