I'd like the club experts here to help me out and let me know if I have a batch of fake JPX 800s or if they are actually legit. I bought these on the bay for a pretty good price from a seller with 100% feedback. Worst case scenario, the jury here decides they are fake and I return them for a refund. The clubs look real to me but I am a complete novice in this area. I've included pictures below but if you guys need some different angles or just better pictures period, let me know and I'll see what I can muster up.

Some quick things to note:
- All the serial numbers are the same and are stamped on every club. The serial numbers on the PW and GW are slightly larger than the numbers on the 4-9 irons.
- The Max COR sticker wrap was only on the 6 iron, all the other clubs had regular shrink wrap on them.
- The second to last picture shows a sticker that has a series of numbers that was also only on the 6 iron.
- The white UPC sticker was only on the 5 iron. IMG_0745__1335393530_99.138.110.242.jpg

- The box the clubs arrived in.

I don't know anything about the JPX-800's... But I bought the MP-59's last fall and they came in the exact type of packaging (corrugate box with foam club face dividers)...  The last photo of the sticker on the shaft looks legit too.  I remember using Goo Gone to get those off which was kind of nasty... And the serial number location looks legit too.  From my perspective... Everything looks legit from a guy who bought Mizzy's last fall.

I'm voting real - but I'm comparing it to the JPX 800 Pros - different medallion.

If fake somebody went through a LOT of trouble, like the UPC sticker.

If those are ball marks on the face and it's the 6 iron that would make them store demos.

I have a question for all you JPX 800 owners, are the serial numbers on the hosel smooth to the touch? The numbers on my club are completely smooth to the touch. It doesn't seem painted on but it also doesn't seem like its been engraved in. A buddy of mine was at Golfsmith and said the serial numbers on the JPX 800s in the store were definitely NOT smooth to the touch. Does Mizuno employ different types of etchings?

I have 2 sets of Mizuno's in my basement both have laser etched serial numbers that are smooth to the touch so your buddy at golfsmith might be wrong. Also if those are fake it would have me fooled because the packaging is definitely correct and the clubs look on point.

The callaway and taylormade sets I've sold at work that have graphic decals on the face are only on one iron, usually the 7 iron or pitching wedge so that part's not uncommon.

As somebody who purchased a counterfeit set of Mizunos before eventually purchasing an authentic set, I will go ahead and guess these are real.  However, I learned the best way to find out for sure is to go to a local authorized dealer with your clubs and compare them to the clubs in store.  I even had the rep bring out a boxed set to see the differences in packaging, wrapping, and serial numbers.  I suggest you do the same.
