Need new bag. Ogio is tearing out at the seams. Suggestions?

I'm very disappointed in my Ogio Vector bag. It's well designed and functional, but despite the entire bag being in very good shape and only 3 seasons old, the seams are tearing out of 2 pockets. It hasn't seen very heavy use as it's for a 2nd set of clubs.

I'm now looking to replace it. I mostly ride, but would like something lightweight and with legs and good straps for when I do carry it.

I'm not sure I'll get Ogio again after this experience.

I'd appreciate suggestions.

Thanks.

Well that's interesting. My Ogio had issues like that also. Loved the bag, didn't like the workmanship.

Look at Ping. That's what I replaced it with.

I have a Ping Hoofer Vantage with the dual retraction strap.  I love this bag and have had it for 5 years now.  It is still in great shape (the only thing with it is cosmetic due to the fading color from being in the sun so much... which I don't really care about).

Unfortunately they don't make this bag anymore and it will suck having to find a new one as well made when the time comes.  Maybe the other bags in the Ping line will measure up, but I haven't really looked at them since I'm not in the market.  It might be worth starting there!

Good luck!

I'm all about the Sun Mountain four5 . . . until it rains. If you play in rain, this is not your bag. Even with years of experience using an umbrella, that four5 is sopping wet after a few holes. My old (really old) Sun Mountains weren't like that. If the PING bags are more water resistant, I'd certainly go that route.

Sun Mountain.

Plus, you're not advertising what clubs you may or may not have with a Sun Mountain - another reason to like it.

Ping has been up and down, up and down as to its bags. Ogio - had a couple fall apart. Just say no.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I recently bought a Cobra GT Stand Bag. If you want a lighter option try the Sport stand.

I bought mine from ebags on a sale for only $140 something, so I had to have it. I was debating over the GT and the Sport. The stap on both of them is really nice, and they are extremely sturdy

Only one suggestion - Sun Mountain. But be sure you like the look of the one you buy because you are going to own it for a long time. Great quality and lots of models to choose from. Their four five or new hybrid model may be what you're looking for.

In my Sun Mountain 14 Way Stand Bag:

Driver - Ping G30 10.5* : Fairway - Ping G30 18* : Hybrids - Titleist 915H 21* & 915 H 24* : Irons - Mizuno JPX 850 Forged 5 - GW : Wedges, Vokey 54.14, Vokey 58.12 : Putter - Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 or Ping Craz-E-R  : Ball - Bridgestone B330RX, Cart - Cliqgear 3.5
