I have two pairs of Puma shoes and think that they are some of the most comfortable shoes ive ever worn. I was wondering if anyone knows how the Puma Golf Shoes compare to the Footjoy or Adidas shoes.......?

i found puma golf shoes terrible...the sole is way too floppy and being a bigger person i needed more support out of my shoes. adidas shoes dont fit me properly and i like footjoys i just dont like the styling of them.

Well you learn something new everyday; I had no idea they made golf shoes.

I have black callaways I got 4 weeks ago and I like them alot. They are a little stiff the first 3 rounds with them, but after you break them in they are very similar too footjoys and I got them for 45 dollars.

Anyone currently wear the recent Puma shoe lines that are out? There seems to be a few models at different price points there top of the line I assume since they are $179 to there middle line around $129-$89. This is a really old thread with not a lot of posts so hopefully there is a bit more popularity now.

I have 2 pairs of puma's, 2 pairs of foot joys, and a pair of nike. The puma's are far and away my favorite they are the most comfortable for my feet. I don't like the Nikes that much not too uncomfortable but just don't fit me that well. Basically golf shoes are like everything else try a bunch on a golf store and see which one fits you the best.

Cool, thanks for the response. I personally wear Adidas because of the fit. Tried a pair or 2 of Nike didn't like the feel. Haven't tried any of the Puma styles since I have only seen them online. They make a few sharp looking models. A bit pricey at $179.

I've been wearing Adidas the past couple of years, with general success.  At the end of last season, I bought a pair of these: http://www.tgw.com/customer/category/product.jsp/SUBCATEGORY_ID/14201 Puma Cell Fusion in the white/snorkel blue.  I think I got them on sale for like $110.   They are very sharp in person, and look great out on the course.  Though the one time I wore them for a walking round of 18, I got pretty bad blisters on the back of my foot.  I only wore them that one time, so not sure if it was a fluke or not, but I had never gotten blisters from the Adidas.  The better Pumas do get very good reviews though, so plenty of people like them.

Equipment:
Ping K15 Driver (10.5º) - Diamana BB R flex; Ping G15 4 Wood (TFC R flex); Ping G15 20* Hybrid (TFC R flex); Ping G15 23* and 27* Hybrids (AWT R flex steel); Ping G15 Irons 6-GW (AWT R flex steel); Ping I-Wedge 54* Wedge; CG14 BP 58* Wedge; Odyssey Black Series Tour Designs #9 Putter

I've tried on the Puma Jigg's really liked them and they are reasonably priced. Eventually I just went with a pair of Nike's though sort of disappointed in my choice though in retrospect the Puma's were way more comfortable and even though their a bit flashy I've heard they hold up great in rainy weather which being from the NW I needed.

Try them again. The course I work at sign a contract to sell PUMA for the next five years. The rep informed us that a lot of people have the complaint of blisters after the first round, but they consider this the "break-in time". Two to three rounds are the recommended break-in time.

As for PUMA, I am a huge PUMA fan. I have owned five pair of shoes by them and have loved all of them. Pretty excited that we signed a contract with them. I'm not in the market for new cleats this summer, just bought a pair of Adidas last summer for beyond cheap (for here in Canada anyways). If I can ever get any updates from the rep or anything about new models or anything, I will be sure to let everyone know, as well as I can see if I can't get some clothing reviews as far as their shirts and pants compared to say Nike and Adidas.

It's all about personal preference and your own foot.  I recently bought some Ecco Street Premiers (which are very comfortable).  But of the last 4-5 pairs of shoes I've worn on the course, the most comfortable were the cheapest -- some Callaway model.  Behind them were a pair of Adidas that were much lower in price than the NIke and other FJ shoes I already had.  Bottom line -- try on several options and find the right "fit" for you.  For individuals, higher price doesn't necessarily mean better comfort.

What's in the Bag:
Driver: Taylormade SLDR 12*
3-wood: Taylormade Burner 15*
Hybrid: Taylormade Burner 19*
Irons: Callaway XR

Wedges: Vokey 50*, 54*, 58*
Putter: Scotty Newport Studio

Thanks for the heads-up on this.  I'll definitely give them another shot, as they were comfortable (other than the blisters), and they look great (I got compliments on the Cell Fusions).  Though of course, being a true "ho", since the end of last season, I picked up a pair of Ecco Classic GTX ($200 shoes) on clearance at Golf Galaxy for $60, and a pair of Footjoy Contours on clearance at Dick's for $30.  So there's still competition for the Pumas...

No problem, just passing on some information, don't want to see a nice pair of shoes go to waste.
