Just wondering who out there has some ink. What is it and where do you have it? How long have you had it?

I have three.

1st: Basketball w/Nike Swoosh through it on my left upper arm. Summer 1994

2nd: Chicago Bulls Logo on my Right upper arm. Summer 1996

3rd: Tribal Sun with the Japaneese symbol for family in the middle surrounded by the dates of my wedding and my sons' birthdays in the middle of my upper back. Fall 2003

I am working on designing my 4th one now. It will be in the shape of a watch arround my left bicep. The face of the watch will say "now" and the band of the watch will be inscribed with "Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On." It comes from a song by the same name on Jimmy Buffett's new CD. It is something I am trying to live by. When you feel like you can't take anymore, just breath in, breath out, move on. It actually helps after a bad shot too.

Each of these had a certain meaning to me at that time of my life. I have them all in areas that can easily be covered. Whenever someone askes me about getting a tattoo I always tell them to think hard about it and make sure it's somthing you will be OK with for a long time. I also tell them that right or wrong, people will judge them based on the fact they have it and to consider that when deciding where to put it. There was a tee shirt that I saw that summed it up. It said: "The difference between people with tattoos and people without them is, the people with them don't care if you have one or not."

Oh and for those of you that don't have one. Yes they do hurt. The one on my back was the most painfull thing I have ever experienced.

It wasnt too bad really, there was once or twice it felt he was digging into my rib bones, but it went really smooth. The one on my forearm hurt the worst. Im planning on getting a skull design i drew up on the other side of ribs, and its more of a vector design so its cleaner and cartoony kinda.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

First: fraternity tattoo on right hip
Second: panther on right shoulder blade (I know, pretty common now, but it wasn't when I got it)
Third: right ankle band, a chain of infinity symbols (I'm a math guy)
Fourth: roses with ribbon bearing my wife's name, left rib cage (that f'in hurt!)
Fifth: design that combines various rune symbols for man, husband and warrior, to the right of my tailbone, just below waist level

Been several years since my last. I want to get another one that reflects my role now as father of two children, something that alludes to the protection, support and strength I need to give them. No ideas yet.....

Where have you been? I haven't seen a post from you in a while.

I think stupid is a bit harsh. I think too many people got/get them because it's cool or the in thing to do. I always tell people if you aren't sure what you want, you don't want one at all. I have mine in places that they are easily covered and nobody would know I have them unless I take off my shirt or wear sleeveless shirts. In those cases I don't care if people see them. Granted, if I join a country club with a pool I may change my mind. If anyone wants to have theirs removed, check out this clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTlyhki6pwc

Hello there, it has been a while.

My tattoos are in places that are visible. One on my forearm and two just above my right elbow. Being in the golf business (at a private club at that) and wanting to play professionally, having these show doesn't feel right to me. Luckily, a member at the club has a daughter-in-law that runs a removal clinic.

    • However, have you ever considered using small summer houses for such setups? They offer a great solution for creating dedicated practice areas, especially for an affluent audience looking to enhance their outdoor living space.
    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.
