The adams xtd can be had for 160ish, it's a titanium wood with a high end shaft and a sole slot. You could go cheaper, but that's one of the best out there for any price. Many will swear by tour edge, but they're not cheap.

I have the mizuno mp650 strong 3 and love the sound and distance, it's also titanium and as long as anything of TM's. Not the easiest to hit, perhaps, in 13˚ loft, especially with an open face. But great looking at address and still very long without going over 43 inches.

I prefer a low lofted hybrid in the 5 wood slot, due to the heavier and shorter shaft and cheaper price.

Posts asking what's the 'best' this or that aren't really useful if you think about it - so many different swings and speeds and quirks between golfers - let alone vendor bias etc.  It turns into an advocacy thread where each of us tell the OP what we are hitting or wish we could buy now.  Or, better yet, someone will try to sell you something.

So in that vein - I really like my 3 and 5 woods - actually my favorite in the bag last season.  Both are Nike VR Pro Limited with the stiff shafts.  But I only demo'd about 4 models total that day.  Love the feel, look and sound.

I've already $pent enough, so I avoid trying new $tuff to avoid temptation$ - though I'll grab demos at the store if I visit just so I have an excuse to hit a few in the bays

Yeah this.

If you're not going to get fitted and hit all the different brands to see which club (and probably more importantly, which shaft) fits you best, then it really doesn't matter.  All of the big name brand clubs (and probably a lot more lesser knowns) are well made clubs, so just pick the one you think looks the nicest and is the right price for you and go for it.

The RBZ, cheesey marketing, great numbers and easy to hit, the 910/913F are also good woods too.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Also, i got my RBZ 3 wood only a few months, and when i go it, i read on TST that the none tour version is not user friendly off fairway lies. However; i find that's not the case, i hit this wood just as good of the deck as i did my 08 Burner 3 wood. That's still doesn't make the RBZ any better then the rest, but its better for me.

Good luck

RBZ 3s are awesome off the tee, and not overly difficult off the deck.

    • Day 134 (26 Apr 24) - played Minnesott today, worked with the mid-irons and approaches (especially the 7i).  Scoring was a little higher, but I was focused on making the needed adjustments to the swing to achieve desired distances.
    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
