I'm getting my cobra amp 3 wood and my sand wedge and putter re gripped and was wondering what grips are soft and not too hard. Like multi compound golf pride hurt my hands. I was thinking golf pride niion on the two clubs and superstroke putter grip

Had the same issue a few years ago with the multi compounds. I hit a lot of golf balls between the range and playing. Loved the grips but they killed my hands. Would wake up in the middle of the night with the hands cramping. A year or so I switched over to the PURE Pro (PURE has othe models) on the recommendation of many here and have had zero issues. I've tried just a wide variety of grip brands and personally wouldn't consider a brand other than PURE. Cannot speak highly enough of the grip and the company/customer service.

Iomic Stick 2.3 are wonderful and just the right balance of soft and firm. I stopped using a glove when I got Imoic grips on all my clubs. I just changed putter grip to Super Stroke 3.0. Nice feel.

Agreed, but they may not last as long as some others.  I like the feel and they stay tacky.

I regripped with Winn lites this year and absolutely love the feel but I can't believe how fast they wear out. I do most of my drilling and practice with my 6 iron and looking at my 5 iron side by side the wear on that 6i grip is ridiculous. I'm hoping to find something similar in feel with a bit more durability. I'm also very intrigued by what I keep hearing about pure grips.

If you like GPride grips, try the Patriot.  The red, white and blue grip.

I personally have switched to tacki-mac IT2 grips.  They're soft, sweaty wrists and arms don't effect them hardly at all.  And, they seem to be decently durable.  Plus, they are half the price of any "name brand" grip.

I tried Winn grips in the past, I've never liked them.  Not sticky enough, wear quickly

So I ended up getting the mulct compound for the soul purpose that they didn't have niions. All tough it out for a few months then get them Also got the fatso superstroke and I'm putting like I know what I'm doing now. Played my first 9 under par ever. Didn't miss anything inside of 10 feet and made two putts from around 40 or 50 feet!

    • this topic brought to mind one my favorite golf-spectator memories. Back when, living in Santa Barbara CA, parked in my yellow cab just behind the 10th tee  (c. 380 yard par 4) at SB Muni golf course while eating lunch. A twosome comes by, and first up is this fat little mexican guy who takes a kinda squirelly practice swing, then addresses the ball and bashes a long, high, perfectly straight drive up to w/in about 5 yards of the green. Other guy is dressed to the 9's, pulls out what looks like a $300 driver....and hits a maybe 150-yard pop fly. Slams clubhead to the ground and yells, "it's fat! It's fat! Everything is fat today!!"  And that's how I learned what a "fat" shot is.
    • day 57. Technique practice in the net. Really trying to slow down.
    • It may not be surprising that in the previous 7,064 posts, this particular point has been discussed. To which I will counter: If we're talking about results, why only the majors? Unless you know something that I don't, neither of us are in any position to judge whether Woods or Nicklaus lived their overall life better, not that such a thing is even objectively measurable, nor is it relevant to the discussion.
    • As we've had to tell other people, the topic is which is the better GOLFER, not human being.
