With all that water, he doesn't look all that wet. How is that?

The closest I've come was an approach shot out of between an inch or two of water (the top of the ball just peeked out). I wasn't in contention for the tournament, but also wasn't thinking clearly at the time (I had accidentally given myself a concussion that morning walking out the door) so I decided I was going to go for it like it was the 18th and I had a share of the lead. I hit gap wedge onto the green to about 20 feet, which is one of the best recovery shots I've hit. Unfortunately I was wearing white shorts and the mud in the lake was black, so that part of it didn't turn out very well.

I'd be interested to try a shot like that. Next summer I'll have to bring a wedge and some balls again when I go to the lake and give it a go.

Most of it is from reddit and twitter. Reddit always seems to have things I'd never ever otherwise find. But it's full of junk too. And it seems folks on reddit aren't afraid to post embarrassing stuff about themselves. Or others :-) Wonder if this guy knew his buddy was videoing him and putting out it there for all to see.

We should create a thread entitled "Overly optimistic swings attempted by ordinary golfers influenced by incredibly lucky PGA tour players. . ." :-D
