Looking for any and all recommendations for a 4-day golf get-away in January ?!? I'll be traveling solo. I've got loads of frequent flyer miles and vacation to burn however Id like to stay in North America to maximize my time (live in CT). Funny, my company makes you feel guilty when you take vacation. I'd like like to stay away from North/South Carolina and central Florida as I play there often while traveling on business. Thanks in advance!

Florida would be your best bet eh? But of Sun and a ton of courses to choose from that aren't under 10 foot of water or 6 feet of snow :) Regards Scott

Las Vegas/mesquite? Or Tucson? If it was me, I'd pick Vegas/mesquite hands down - no pun intended. Golf during the day, gambling during the night and great food too.

You'd better play somewhere in Florida, because it's cold even here in Tampa in January.

You might consider the a Palm Coast / St Augustine area of Florida. Some great courses, including Hammock Beach, TPC Sawgrass, and the 2 courses at the World a Golf Village and a bunch more.....stop by the Golf Hall-of-Fame too. Plenty of stay and play options. If you don't mind the longer travel, AZ/NV desert golf is always fun too.

South Florida is your best bet in January for warm weather.......   it may be cold in the desert and a tad nippy in SO-Cal.  January weather in South Fla is a world away from the central part of the state.    I'd be looking deep south....like Naples-Miami south.....

If you want to stay in the US, how about  thinking out of the box???

How about a little island getaway??? US Virgin Islands?  Carambola golf club on St. Croix is the best course on the US Virgin Islands I am told........  I have played it more than once, and have no complaints!!

A little tropical island getaway is always fun??..right?......I guarantee this island will be warm in January!!!

It's the only noteworthy Island course, but you can play it 2-3 times and spend the rest of your visit snorkeling and doing Island things!!!

What's in Paul's Bag:
- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Driver
- Big Bertha Alpha 815 3-wood
- Callaway Razr Fit 5-wood
- Callaway Big Bertha 4-5 Rescue Clubs
-- Mizuno Mx-25 six iron-gap wedge
- Mizuno Mp-T4 56degree SW
- Mizuno Mp-T11 60degree SW
- Putter- Ping Cadence Ketsch

Your Brutus is looking slightly maniacal. What's he been up to?

The Palm Springs area in So Cal would be another great option. Temps in the mid-70s during the days and plenty of courses to choose from.

Thank you all for responding. There have been lots of changes to our schedule and with all the logistical matters, we will challenge the weather and play Myrtle Beach on Feb 26-Mar 1. Now to determine where to stay and play! Thanks again for your posts I surely refer to them in the future.
