  1. I am listening to 23rd Street. 24 hours a day of cars, trucks, planes, sirens, and neighbors who start lawn mowers at 6:30am. I try to drown it out with 7,600 WAVE music files on a huge USB drive. Mostly 1950's through 1990's music.
  2. I don't play real golf anymore due to arthritis, but I play lots of digital golf using the Links 2003 program. The play is as fast as I want it to be!😁 However, I watch a lot of golf. Every time I see another pro doing something to slow the game down, I wonder how many amateur foursomes this is going to be inflicted on come Monday morning. Remember Sergio's endless wagging? OMG. Now, some pros on the greens do this thing where they spread their legs and slowly walk from their ball mark to the hole while not stepping on the line. Can't imagine how slow things would get if everyone did 20 waggles, or slowly walked the line for every putt.🙄
  3. Erik, please consider adding a "Wow" icon to reactions to posts. Sometimes that's all I can come up with, is "wow."
  4. I hope this is in the right place. I have never played golf in Denver before - does the ball really go so far in the higher elevations? Players were using irons to reach a 330 yard hole, and often hole high on #1 - 389 yards? Congrats to Nick Dunlap.👍
  5. The Postage Stamp sure doesn't look like much.....but I don't think I've seen any player in an Open who wasn't thrilled just to get on the putting surface.
  6. My first thought was, bring warm clothes...and a camera.😊

  8. Back in the 1970's and 1980's I played a lot of golf around (and on) the Groton submarine base. At the time, chewing tobacco was a big thing, and these folks would spew all over the tees and greens. Makes my stomach churn thinking about some of the places my ball rolled into.
  9. I don't drink....but, I did smile quietly to myself every time someone said "marine layer."😊
  10. I love this website.☺️ The other day I logged in my email, and had a torrent of notifications from TST. Uh-oh, what happened? My thanks to everyone here who have answered every single one of my questions about this very strange situation.👍👏 Don Ward

  12. I rode past a number of these courses in 1978, but at the time golf was still "cow pasture pool" to me.
  13. While watching The Masters a very long time ago, José María Olazábal hit a fairly bad tee shot and says "Shit!" with his Spanish accent. There's a few seconds of stunned silence, and Ken Venturi says, "Pretty much describes the shot."
  14. "I can play better; I just never have." - Huey Lewis, at Pebble Beach. "I've always been able to hit the ball a long way. It's just recently that I've been able to find it." - Scott McCarron. “Nothing wrong with winning ugly.” – Johnny Miller, NBC golf analyst, during the last round of the 2009 US Open at Bethpage Black.
