PGA2K21 Courses

Just something here to keep track of courses available and my impressions. Don't see a really good comprehensive listing anywhere outside of the game itself.

Hillside Golf Club (Southport UK) - lidar version. 5/5

Cabot Cliffs - lidar version. 5/5

Next up will look for: Royal County Down, Royal Melbourne, Streamsong, Pine Needles

Royal County Down and Merion East are there. Shot 6 under at Royal County Down. Eagled that drivable par 4 in the back nine.

Dormie Club is not.

Are the courses the same regardless of platform?  My kids have a PS4 and a Switch.  They don't play sports gamees but I like to occasionally and this would be up my alley.  When I play now, it's FIFA or Super Mega Baseball on the Switch. 🙂

Have you played WGT online golf?   It can be challenging.

Unfortunately, I don’t know. I read that the version on the Switch the graphics isn’t as good and the game can be buggy but I’ve no hands on experience with the version. OTOH, you can play on the go which is a big plus.

No, will have to check that out. I basically got the game to experience all the different courses and as a breather for the very difficult other games I’m playing. It would be interesting to see how difficult a golf game can be though.

Read some reviews, based on them, it looks like custom courses are available across all platforms.

So some courses are labeled LIDAR and I was wondering what that meant. Here's a description. All I knew before reading that is they look better than typical custom courses. The detail.

Have not played a golf video games in many years, you guys are making me think I should.  Problem was the old Links Golf was too much like my real game, if kept saying “Was that a tree?”

There is no cost to see if your course can be done or not.  Nice to see me and my site on this great site!  Thanks to whomever brought it here!

Yes they are.  The courses I design can be played on Simulators, Xbox, PS4, PC and Switch

If you want to see all the customer courses I have done, you can check them out here -->  The Lidar Kings Google Map of Customer Courses  Most of them are in TGC 2019 and 2K21.  It will  show the in-game name if you click on a specific course.  There are over a hundred.

Thanks for the listing. Curious, Riviera, why did you create that one? Doesn’t that course already come with the game? Makes me wonder why there are so many duplicate courses available.

Pine Valley is there. The greens for this course are brutal. I drove the green on a par 4 and proceeded to 5 putt.

Also San Francisco Golf Club. Much easier course.  But great design.

There were several Olympic Clubs but I couldn’t quite tell which was the Lake Course.

I actually had Riviera designed before 2k21.  2019 Did not have it, so I designed it.

Unfortunately, every one and their mother can put the name of the course and publish it.  I tell everyone to look for the publisher as NobleMan or TheLidarKing.  That will only work on PC.

The customer wanted Pine Valley to have lightning fast greens, so I created them that way.  You can always slow them down in the game prior to starting.

I looked up Pinehurst, wanting to find No. 2. Didn’t find No. 2, but I did find one called Pinehurst No. 10. I think it was something like 8,000 yards from the back tees, par 70, with several 500-yard-plus par 4s. That was really tough, because the greens are crowned, just like the ones on No. 2, but I really enjoyed it. I definitely recommend it.

Putting it on the list!

I’m pretty sure I saw Tobacco Road in there speaking of Pinehurst.

Played Cal Club last night. It's Lidar. Shot 3 over, 3 putts killed me. Compared the course to actual photos and wondering why all the buildings are there when IRL it seems like no buildings. I haven't seen either IRL, but I think I would rather play San Francisco Golf Club over Cal Club if given a choice.

Played ANGC twice, shot 81 the first time despite knowing the course from tv. The greens are tough to negotiate. Second time around shot 73.

No way, the Lidar King replied to this thread! Awesome! I love your courses, man! Great job! Big fan of the Golf Club 2 for PC.

Thanks @JetFan1983 !  If you guys want a course built.  Just put the coupon code TheSandTrap in the form that you use to see if the course can be done.  It will bring the cost of the course down to $299 from my normal price of $387.95, if it can be done and you decide to purchase it.

Please fill out the form out and include the full course name and address. There is no obligation and I will contact you to let you know if the course...

Played Torrey Pines last night. Only expected to play it one time but I was rusty, forgot the controls and was mad I couldn’t break par and wound up playing 4 rounds until I shot 66. And I did it only with one birdie on a par 5, the 18th.

There are like 5 TP Souths to choose from. I picked the one with the most and highest ratings.

In reference to NLU’s comment on that it was like Firestone by the ocean, it does look that way, everything is in front of you, but some of these fairways are pretty canted and you have to aim way off center to hit one. The par 3s are very interesting and I had a hard time with the greens, some were two tiered and some had tricky breaks.
