An estimated handicap will work. If you claim to be a 20 and shoot in the 70s, they will probably call BS. @mcanadiens has been called a sandbagger once or twice in this. 🤣

My best 18 hole score is 84 on Dales off the whites (59/103 or so I think). I typically shoot high 90s on courses that are 6000 yards or more (never played anything over 6500). What should I say my cap is? I think when I calculated that Dales score the differential was like 28 or so.

An 83 on Dales-White is 23.3. 99 on the Hawk or Eagle is around 25, so I would guess you are somewhere around a 23 with the 96% multiplier.

Good playing with you guys. Always nice playing with people who can tolerate you, so big thumbs up to @Bonvivant.

Always think we should give @Jeremie Boop something closer to a home game. Maybe one more time this year at Miami Shores, Homestead or Shelby Oaks.

Definitely turned out to be a nice day out there too. Wish I hadn't started off so poorly and/or threw away so many strokes on missed putts. I may have ended up getting some money back like you. It was great to meet you @Bonvivant, hopefully you can be a more regular member of golf forays.

I was in the money too thanks to the 2 🐦. I think I only needed to get 15, not 21.

I ended up playing the quota game again today on Hawk. We only had 8 players but I ended up with 18 when my quota was 12. Amazing that I can have 6 pars and 6 bogeys and still card a 96 lol. Five 7s and one 8 didn't help my cause one bit.

Yeah, those big number holes will hurt you for sure. Every shot counts 1.

I really was surprised that Duck had the quota game opposite the Zimmerman-Young event. That used to be a huge deal at Kittyhawk from what I understand. It raises money for a scholarship fund. One of the fellas I played with said they used to have two groups on every tee to start (which sounds like a bit of a nightmare).

Not much to brag about personally, but I did stick one inside 5 feet on No. 13 for a $25 gift card to the pro shop. We finished fourth place at -9.

    • Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
    • Day 31: 3/10/25 Backswing drills with the ProSendr. Reinforcing iron play from yesterday.
    • I wrote up a response as a YouTube comment that I won't be posting on YouTube. What an absolute load of garbage. Your arm doesn't "slingshot" or "bounce" - you use the muscles in your arm to move your arm and throw the baseball. In one video you've managed to get roughly five areas of science almost completely backward. At best, your video sets up a straw man as nobody is telling golfers to do anything like what you show when you're demonstrating a "bad tennis player." The golfers you see on your lesson tee must be from a completely different world than almost anyone else on Earth, because most golfers do something more like what you prefer to teach - their arms are too passive for too long, they stay "up" too long, and are carried out toward the ball from the top. From there, they stall their pivot, often early extending while right tilting to TRY to not swing 15° left. You know… we have ways of measuring these things these days, but you're still stuck with a poor understanding of how the golf swing works and are peddling it to some unsuspecting and unfortunate souls. But, I know… you teach "athletes." I hope for your sake that's just code for "dumb" because anyone with even a room temperature IQ understands that there's nothing truly "effortless" about the golf swing. I also sent a tweet: https://x.com/iacas/status/1899237716316844217
    • Hmmm.... That's pretty good. Very clever, young man.
    • Plus, if ALL of your irons are guaranteed to go the right distance but just 15 within a 15 yard right or left window… you can lay way back off the tee, find way more fairways, and still shoot good scores. No need to hit driver to get into 9I range if a 4I (which will find the fairway every time if it's 30 yards wide or wider) and hit a 5I to the green. Easy!
