if they are anything like the old g400's you will hopefully enjoy.
I found mine very forgiving especially when hitting shots out of the toe!

Tried them at the range and they are really easy to get airborne. It flies 10y longer then my normal 7, but it is 4 deg lower (so more like a 6).

Wont you consider the new T200s or T300s?

To be honest I never had any intention of getting Pings when I first went about buying some new irons.

The best thing I did was book in for a fitting and went with the club that worked best for me as well as what I felt comfortable with.

They are very nice irons. It was between them and Mizuno Hot Metals for me. I chose the Mizunos because they had more shaft options with no upcharge.

Bought a new set of G410’s today.  Hit them at the range.  Loved them.  Bought the G410 driver too.  That thing was awesome.  Had to order the sand wedge and lob wedge today.  2-3 month wait time.  Getting the g410 3 hybrid next.

Irons - Ping G410

Driver - Ping G410

3W - Ping G410

3H - Ping G410

Putter - Ping Sigma

Anything Ping makes is great, I just wish they hadn't added the feral but then again I'm old school. I still have G15s which I play sometimes. Go for it, you will not be unhappy.

I hit through a bag of G410's today my playing partner had ( we were almost alone out there and hit multiple balls). Besides being disturbingly thick , the offset made me over draw or hook everything, unless I tried to fade them, in which case they may have gone straight. Not for me.

But he shot a 75 playing his first ball on every hole. Me? Hell no. I shot 86 with him conceding putts I had a 50% chance of holing.

    • Day 5:  Oops, I missed practice on Mother's Day. But today I got a pile of mirror work done. Tomorrow will be a range day and then City League on Wednesday.
    • I had another interesting ruling last week, in a pro "junior/senior fourball" event.  Near one of the greens was a drain, with the actual grate set maybe 3 or 4 inches below the ground surface.  It wasn't in a depressed area, basically just a straight-sided hole, with the surrounding ground pretty level.  A Player's ball was in some longer grass adjacent to the grate, maybe even overhanging a bit, to the "side" of the drain, so the path of his swing was "tangent" to the circular grate.  The ball was at ground level, so 3 or 4 inches above the metal grate itself.   As I saw it, there was no way at all that the actual Obstruction would impact any reasonable swing path, so I denied relief.  I did talk it over with another official, who said he would probably have allowed the relief, but agreed that it was a borderline call.
    • Here is where we're at so far.  (3) more spots left for Saturday, and (2) Sunday.  Again, if there are more folks interested in both days, we'll give preference to them.
