Here's to all TST members having a safe Labor Day weekend.

If you are on the road traveling, watch out for that other guy.

If you are weekend golfing, hit 'em long, and straight, while still watching out for that other guy..

In My Bag:
A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......

Thanks @Patch. To you as well. Hopefully our tropical storm will just bring some rain and leave us alone.

?  Wishful thinking?    Stay safe!

Lol. Yeah...I filter out the silly talking heads in their typhoon outfits and row boats in 8” of water...I keep track with the actual weather trackers. But thanks!

I remember when I worked in Miami and was awakened early in the morning by a rude phone call from my boss at the department store.  I had to come down to the store and help put plywood over the windows.  That wasn't my job!  Later that day I was tempted to walk out of my apartment in 100mph winds and hit a golf shot into the wind and see how far behind me it landed.  Decided not to do it with all the sheet metal, etc. flying down the street.

I remember Anderson Cooper once standing in high water in his typhoon outfit discoursing on the coming hurricane.  It was so hokey.  Though I like the guy,  but I'm pissed I wasn't in his mother's will...

Apparently I remember too much...

    • Day 15: 12/10/2023 Over speed training today. Oh my goodness, I was slow. Seemed the harder I tried the worse it got. ... Looking forward to being better on Tuesday.
    • Interesting.  I will say the Disney piece where they replicated a live game was not to my liking.  The helmets were so large relative to the bodies of the players it just looked corny.  Also not sure what the point of doing that would be, why replicate a game when I can simply watch the game? I do not watch a lot of NHL but recall a few years back they added a tracking line to the puck that I did not care fore.  Also, I really do not see the point of having a graphic circle at the feet of a running NFL Player.  I can see the player and do not need a graphic to tell me where he is.  My eyes do that all by themself. The trick is to offer graphics that enhance but do not interfere with the watching of the sporting event.
    • I like this show a lot for their reaction to VFX in movies. They just did a video on their reaction to video effects in live sports. This is also a history of VFX in sports. Going all the way back to the OG, displaying these score on the TV in real time.
    • Do not take the following personal. You sound a lot like my father did when I was young.  Things were always "Better before" and currently things are "Stupid bad" and of course to me as a teenager/young adult everything seemed normal and I felt he was "Out of touch".  Now, I am saying things similar to you about how much better it was before and I can't believe how bad some things have become....and if I had kids I would suspect they would be thinking I am old and out of touch.  Change is inevitable and not always to our liking.
    • I think it's more making it a 1 in 1 million type of event versus a 1 in 100 type of event.
