OK here are the results from my Wooden Driver test last night.
1: If you hit it in the sweet spot > its says hit!
2: If you are slightly off centre on your hits not only do you feel the vibration, but they hook and slice quite badly.
3: off the deck is is great, only have to tee it up an Inch max,

bit of fun. brought back a lot of memories.

I have a 350 yard range in my backyard but after a few years I got tired of hitting golf balls. It's too convenient. Now guests are the only ones who use it problem is they abuse the privilege, ie breaking clubs, hit hundreds of balls etc.

Now I just go to the course on the way home from work every day and play nine holes. It's more realistic, varied and fun.

for those who dont have a lot of time to practice, I like to buy those practice wiffle-balls and go in the back yard and hit them at the house (neighbors on both sides and green space behind) they are light, don't go far and usually bounce right back to you. very good for helping your swing and contact... just dont divot your lawn

In my area there are only mountainous courses with horrible sloping fairways. Doesn't do much for your handicap.

So I mostly need practice from sloping lies. The only place to get that kind of practice is on the course. Every day I play the worst 9 holes I can find.

Do you practice?

1) Oh yes, I practice

2) I'm still a novice golfer, so I still practice everything from grip pressure, to alignment, to confidence, etc... 3) Anywhere available to me. Usually I go to Parmasters and use the launch monitors or the course simulators. When I'm in a jam though, I practice driving in my backyard with wiffle balls (just to practice my swing), or I'll use range balls and practice chipping them over my house (it's one-story, and has a solid brick wall in the back with no windows on one side)... cleaning out my gutters is funny sometimes. 4) I have the most fun practicing when I see my hard work paying off. Then again I'm having fun anytime a golf club is in my hand... Then again there's always the sure-fire way to make it more fun... drink Just don't expect your practice to actually help with anything past the second hour/second six-pack... whichever comes first.

Clubs in my Army-issued duffel-bag...

i have been playing almost a year (in april) and although i put a lot of work in to my game last year, i still feel i have to do more to get into single figures which is my main goal. i practice on a range at my club and have decided to spend around 14 hours each weekend, 7 hours on my irons, 7 hours on my woods. these are the areas that need the most work on in my game. i play a few holes every weekend to see how the game is coming along. when the season starts, i will practice every day working on a different part of my game each day for around 8 hours each

    • It’s Louisville, so from living here  in Kentucky for 28 years, it doesn’t surprise me.. lucky he didn’t get tazed.. Not saying scottie is in the right,  just guessing it escalated quickly. And this is why I stay in Lexington:-)
    • With the limited information it sounds like both sides, Scottie and the police, handled the situation poorly. Scottie not realizing his recognition factor is low as he’s quite the dud, and the officer being way too aggressive in the situation.  Jumping in/on the car was an asinine move by the cop. Scottie trying to get around the stop before getting assistance was a bone head move as well.
    • Scottie's stuff was at 6am. He should have been able to react in 0.31 seconds at worst. 🤣

    • Yep.  If a vehicle is even moving at 25 mph, that covers 37-FT in one second, or 10 yards in one second. It is highly probable that Scottie didn't have time to react, and ended up driving further than what the cop probably deemed acceptable and thought Scottie was trying to run him over.  The fact is, the cop should not have put themselves in that position to begin with.  Edit. I didn't even calculate the stop distance needed (when Scottie hits the brakes). That 10 yards is if he never slowed down. Human reaction time is about .25 seconds, maybe longer when it is 5AM.
