At the top of the back swing, I see most good players get their hands at least the same height as the top of their heads, most even go above their heads. But I cant do it, I have to bend my body down a lot to even get to any where near the top of my head, and it is an uncomfortable position and I cant generate speed. Is it because I'm a fat guy? Any advice thanks.

They most likely just have more flexibility in their shoulder and hip turn. You can work on that with shoulder and hip turn drills and stretching. But, players like Rahm and Finau don't go that high at all and are two of the longest drivers on tour.

So I would not recommend trying to actively get higher and focus on generating the speed from your natural top position. Reaching back too far can cause lots of issues on the downswing.

You can start a My Swing thread in the Member Swings section and folks will help.

For me, my elbows control the height of my hands. I depend a lot on the position of my elbows in my up swing to stay on my particular swing plain

That said, these days, with aging, my hands usually get to a little higher than my head, just barely.

The height of the hands is dependent on your body. If you can make the same turn as DJ GREAT but it is only a good thing if it doesn't cause you to loose your levels balance and plane. hitting the ball with a predictable flight and center contact will do far more good than stretching to get the hands to an unnatural position.
