Hello, can you please help me.

I played 9 holes

For white tees, Par 72,    6,072 yards   68.4 Course Rating   119 Slope  (18 holes)

I'm trying to post my score but I'm unable to put the course rating in the GHIN
but is asking me for values between 25 and 40 and it's 68.4 Course Rating

So how do I post it?

Thanks

Some courses may have slightly different difficulty (and hence, ratings) on the front and back nines and to get those you have to look up the actual data on the USGA web site.

However,  a close enough approximation is to take half of the course rating for 18 holes, ie 34.2 in this case. This is the average score that a scratch player should score for nine holes, front or back.

In GHIN, you should be able to select 9 holes, then the course, and front of back nine and which set of tees.  That data should be in GHIN already.  The front and back 9 are rated separately, so choosing half of the total may not be accurate.  If GHIN doesn't have the data for your course, use the link that @dennyjones provides to find the front and back ratings.  As a last resort, use half the 18 hole course rating.

Yes. I posted 34.2 wich is half and it worked.

This course is not listed in the ghin. So I did it manually.

I contacted the Florida state golf association and USGA and with the same issue. They told me they're waiting for an update from this course. They're supposed to validate the rating every 10 years but they haven't done it.

Thanks

Yeah, then, technically I'm not sure you should have posted anything (not that it'll matter much). Ratings > 10 years old aren't considered valid ratings.

Yes. I thought the same but it shows that it works. So I'll keep an eye on that. Thanks
