Hello all, I am not a everyday golfer, i am 22 years old, 6 foot 4 I play once in a while but want to get into golf.  I was a college baseball player so I have a rather fast and violent swing. What’s the right clubs for me. Size wise where I’m not crouched over which I feel I am with my current clubs I have. Any help would be awesome thank you in advance

Welcome to TST.

Whatever you buy, make sure to hit them first.  I wouldn't put a lot of $$ into new clubs seeing you play once in awhile.   You can find used clubs almost anywhere.    I'm sure others with chime in with some suggestions.

What Mr. Jones said.  You can buy used clubs (Callawaypre-owned.com is one such site) and return them, if they don't work for you, for a full refund, minus shipping.  Or you can try them fort 30 days and receive 90% of the purchase price back in credit.

You’d probably need clubs that are +2” from standard length. Like others said..Ebay is a good place to find used clubs with longer shafts even. 2ndswing golf, Callaway pre-owned....

Being tall does not mean that you need longer clubs.  Most tall people have correspondingly long arms.  What you want are clubs that fit your posture...and that is a matter of individual preference.  Have a look at Keagan Bradley.  He looks bent in half when he addresses the ball...but it works for him.  Ben Hogan stood more upright than most people feel comfortable with...and it really worked for him.

Meaning...there is a general idea but no exact formula.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."

Please don't make me look at Keagan Bradley.  Or wait for him to finally hit the damn ball...😀  Or watch his nervous tics...

He does move like a nervous glacier.

At 6'4 I would look at probably 1 inch over standard as a starting point. Any more than that gets really unwieldy. Something forgiving from Callaway preowned would be a good starting point, as you know you are getting legit stuff usually in better condition than what they claim.

Also would want something with midsize or larger grips as that makes a big difference, maybe more than anything else when fitting for bigger golfers.

If you want to spend more you can go and get a basic fitting for new clubs from any of the big box stores. They can at least get you close on length, grip size, flex, set make up, and get it ordered from the manufacturer.

True.. but the OP stated he’s ‘crouched over.’

Best thing you can do is get fit. I understand you can get used clubs if your not playing alot but you should see a fitter and find the specs that work for you. More important than length of clubs is lie angle. Ping does this better than anyone. I highly recommend doing this before you buy anything.

I agree, Ping is good at fitting and building the right club for you, but see a fitter. I don't know if money is an issue for you but figure that golf clubs last years and years so look at them as a long term investment, (unless you're like a lot of us here who buy the next shiny thing that is out there just because, LOL).
