Did anybody really think Daly had a chance of staying in decent shape playing in New Orleans?
He would do better if he hauled around a double-wide with a Hooter's inside.
I hate to see him do this to himself.

its interesting how the new orleans tournament has a leaderboard topped with people whose names sound like exotic types of seaweed; briny baird, shigeke maruyama

They will beat their swords into golf clubs and their spears into putters. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Old Tom Morris 2:4

Perhaps a bottle of "Chez Reavie" would help that go down easier.

Daly wins the Shell this week and gets into the Masters! How sweet that would be

"People think the size of the head is most important. Wrong. It's getting a quality shaft. test different shafts to see which goes the straightest. Also, more degrees of loft on the head is better than less. Eleven degrees is about right."

Id call it a real good day if he makes the cut.

Im actually picking him to be in contention...hes playing at a BOMBERS course with wide fairways--watch out

I will never admit that Big John is done. He's still got another major championship in him. Somewhere.

i agree.he t36th last year against all the odds at the US Open. so he can put a performance in when he really has to. I dont think his situation is as bad as its been hyped up to be.

Come on John Daly!

What I saw of him at the PODS for 12 holes is that he doesn't really blast it by everyone. His short game looked effortless, but his putting really sucked. If he fixes the putting he might be able to get a top 20.

hitting fairways is overrated-how many does tiger usually hit?? so that won't make a difference this week usually to contend you need to NOT PUTT LIKE A MENTALLY ILL YAK! not sure daly has a good putting week in him

Remember^^^John daly putts well on Midwestern United States greens remember he won Crooked Stick-PGA Championship--also an opening 67 at Southern Hills last year--after skipping both practice rounds to play the nearby casinos<<<<<<
