Congrats! I felt the same relief years ago. I lettered 4 years from 1967-1971 on my HS team. We were just an average team, but the travel and getting out of school was cool. Work hard. The effort will pay off. I am 55 now and still have a decent game. I started the game at age 10, so I had a good jump start.

You can do it man. Before my handicap came south of 30, I had some 9-hole rounds of 44 - usually after shooting north of 56 on the front nine

In any case, keep your wits about you, play your game and the course and not your opponents (who will be teammates soon enough). If you do that, I'd be surprised to hear if you didn't make it.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Congrats steaksauce. I never played in HS, opting instead to play baseball. I had a buddy I had grown up with playing little league baseball and I remember on the first day of baseball tryouts as a freshman him not being there. I couldn't believe it when I found out he was going to play golf instead. I thought it was such a waste of his talent. The guy was BOO WEEKLEY who now plays on the PGA tour. Made over $2million last year. Suppose I was wrong :)
