These guys really are Champions. Seriously, 3 playoff weeks in a row! I find this tour so much more enjoyable than the PGA, aside from major weeks (when Tiger DOESN'T have a 12 shot lead going into Sunday). They seem to have so much more fun just playing and the competition is always down to the very last putt. Also I'm just plain old sick of everyone bowing down to Tiger as if he is the next messiah.

Is anyone else with me on this one?

Yea i love that Tour. Those guys are gamers man. I cant imagine T-WOOOO on that Tour. His body is going to hold up longer than some statues. I mean its really amazing the level of play recently with the seniors. God Bless that Tour

I'm psyched for 2 years from now when Couples turns 50. That will be incredible to see him really compete again now that he'd be playing with people of the same body issues as he does. I will tivo every single swing he ever makes and follow that religiously. So smooth, it makes me cry a little inside every time he falls apart because of his back...

It's nice to see so many talented golfers on The Champions Tour, but I'd still rather watch a middle-of-the-road PGA Tour event than a prestigous Champions Tour event. And it doesn't get much better than yesterday's finish at The Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Like I said above, it's nice to see guys like Scott Hoch, Loren Roberts, Jay Haas, etc. racking up the money after they turn 50. That's good for golf.

I agree. I'd rather watch a regular tour event. However, the Champions Tour seems much more exciting and competitive than it was a few years ago. Seems like there's a new 50 year old star name player every month. After Bay Hill I tuned in to the Champions and saw Funk, Haas, Hoch, Langer, John Cook, etc etc. so many guys I've watched for many years on the PGA tour. Only going to get better with Couples, Lehman, Azinger, Pernice among many others soon to be 50's.

I would rather watch an LPGA event any time over a Champions event. The competition is as good as you can find in either of the men's tours (if not better) and I enjoy watching them manage the course.

it s a great retirement plan for the over 50s, but seriously, does anyone really care about the Champions Tour.

I can't think many great players who are on this tour? Will Mark O Meara play- i hope not!

Most of the players who have had successful careers have had enough by the time they hit 50 and want to do something else...golf commentary is a major puller

a lot of players have entrepreneurial sprit ..ie Greg Norman- and would prefer to do this than play on an inferior tour with a load of has beens lol.

Tiger should run for President when he hits 50...what a life he has ahead of him...he'll be like mr Schwarzenegger!..lol

    • I think part of it is there hasn't been enough conclusive studies specific to golf regarding block studies. Maybe the full swing, you can't study it because it is too complicated and to some degree it will fall into variable or random.
    • Going one step stiffer in the golf shaft, of the same make and model will have minor impact on the launch conditions. It can matter, it is a way to dial in some launch conditions if you are a few hundred RPM off or the angle isn't there. Same with moving weights around. A clubhead weights 200-220 grams. You are shifting a fraction of that to move the CG slightly. It can matter, again its more about fine tuning. As for grip size, this is more personal preference. Grip size doesn't have any impact on the swing out of personal preference.  You are going to spend hundreds of dollars for fine tuning. Which if you want, go for it. I am not sure what your level of play is, or what your goals in golf are.  In the end, the golf swing matters more than the equipment. If you want to go to that level of detail, go find a good golf club fitter. ChatGPT is going to surface scan reddit, golfwrx, and other popular websites for the answers. Basically, it is all opinionated gibberish at this point.

    • Well the first advice I would give is to look at your swing. If you are swing out to in, it may be difficult to fix your misses with club adjustments. They would only be a bandaid. I use midsize grips because I have long fingers and I feel I have more control with them. I also have tinkered with shaft length and swing weight. But I know when I miss it’s because my swing was off.
