59's have been shot in PGA and LPGA events, but only rarely. Tiger's low is around 61 or 62 I think... maybe even 63. I don't think anyone will ever shoot 18 under on a course set-up of appropriate length.

My Clubs: Callaway FT-i Tour LCG 9.5° w/ Matrix Ozik Xcon 6 stiff; Sonartec GS Tour 14° w/ Graphite Design Red Ice 70 stiff; Adams Idea Pro 2h(18°) & 3h(20°) w/ Aldila VS Proto 80 stiff; Adams Idea Pro Forged 4-PW w/ TT Black Gold stiff; Cleveland CG12 DSG RTG 52°-10° & 58°-10°; Odyssey...

do you think tiger will ever shoot -18 or any golfer in the world

I don't think Tiger will ever shoot anyone, much less a fellow golfer. Even Rory.

As for -18? Let him play from the red tees and I bet he comes back with something in the low 50s. But a 54 on a TOUR course? Look at it this way: if Jack's best ball score on every hole at Augusta were to be on the same scorecard, it would be a 48. And that took how many years to accomplish?

people have come close, I'm pretty sure 59 is the lowest score on tour ever.

On the PGA Tour. I think Jason Bohn carded a 58 on the Canadian Tour, but I can't cite a source for that.

Fired a final-round, 13-under-par 58 to win the Bayer Championship on the Canadian Tour, one of his two wins on that Tour

I think 59 can be beaten, just not sure if it would be 54....more like 57. 54 just seems so unreachable with the courses and technology out there

    • Thank you. That's probably what I'll respond with. Yes. For the match, we played the temporary greens and counted those scores. Not ideal, but it worked (and we split the holes, so no damage done really). For handicap posting, it changed a 520 yard par 5 into a ~400 par 4 and a 380 yard par 4 into a 130 yard par 3. That's why I'm asking about handicap posting (and did not put this in the rules of golf subforum).
    • Day 4: Worked on short game shots focusing on getting my weight moving forward on the backswing and follow-through and bringing the low point forward.
    • Did you play the 2 holes with their temporary greens.  If so, I don't see why your score shouldn't count as it would normally.  I get the point that the hole does change but if everybody is playing the same conditions then I think it is fair
    • Just a suggestion.. do a left hand-only 'trial'. You can do in your living room. Ensure arm structure stays intact throughout the swing and the wrist does not break down until well after impact. It will possibly help you identify if it's a right side (trail) over/early-dominance, weight-shift timing, pivot stall, hand path issue, some combo of these, etc.
    • Yup, 3 triples, 8 bogeys and 7 pars I think.  So maybe 17 over.  But yeah, happy with the score, game and trophy
