The LPGA should have the same distances accordingly.

Well hell, then you’d have most par 4’s under 400yds. It’s kind of a no win situation. Shorter courses would diminish the accomplishments more than they already are. Like lowering the rim for the WNBA. More dunks? Sure...but my 14yr old boy can dunk on that. Not sexist, just the way it is.

I voted Too hard, but I really mean Too long. I would shorten the courses as Erik and others have said, but I would like to see tougher pin placements and firmer greens. I like a few holes (par 4) that require a long iron approach, but most should be driver, short/mid iron.

I was first tuned into the LPGA because I was told it was a lot like my game, except the scores were better.  I'd see a lot of players hitting long irons, utility metals, and even woods into greens.  I'd see a lot more laying up strategically on par-5s (note: I no longer play par-5s this way, for obvious reasons).  Now that it's brought to my attention, yeah, maybe the courses are too long, and there's plenty of ways other than length you can bring in to make it a test of skill.  I'm not sure which vote category this goes to.

I’ve heard this and have never really taken to it at all. Any LPGA player can run circles around me on any course. There is nothing they do ‘like me’ other than club selection sometimes and some drives. It’s the comparison to the PGA men’s tour that has me less interested in watching LPGA. I don’t know if this makes sense, just my two cents.

It makes perfect sense to me.

At my home course, from the tees we play in tournaments, a few years ago an average drive on a par-4 would leave me an average of a 4-hybrid into the green (it's now closer to 5- or 6-iron).  I see a lot of those approach shots on the LPGA Tour.  Of course, any of them would run circles around me too, in all aspects of the game.

    • Yeah - I'll keep an eye on that - I've been across the line for about forever, so I assume that I want to overexaggerate the laid off bit to get it closer to square when I take a real swipe at the ball.
    • Those are better. Watch where the shaft points at the top, too. Bit over-rolled there (laid off).
    • First swings at after a 2.5 month forced hiatus. No surgery in the forecast at the moment! Doc said okay to start easing in gently over a few weeks. The effort is barely 30% here but felt solid.  I think my swing changed a few years ago after my right ankle injury (weight shift profile). I wonder if this may bring about another change. I certainly won't pivot on to the knee (left) aggressively any time soon, if ever. Could even be a good thing..heh.
    • I mean, I just assume he mistyped something. 🙂 Promos were on X/Twitter and today I put the promo on IG. The full video is landscape (not good for Instagram) and too big for X (file size), so it's always been on YouTube.
