I'm about 50 pages into this so far. Really enjoying how he weaves the stories and history into his journey. I'm learning a lot about the history of golf.

I read Paper Tiger and really liked it.

If things ever calm down a bit I should get this book or one of his others.

I’ve read his two previous “Course” books. They were excellent. I will download this to read.

Just finished, and enjoyed it. He really points out the contrast between golf in Ireland and the UK vs. golf in the USA. He played quite a few golf courses that most folks have no chance of ever playing vs courses where most can play in his previous books.

I’m about half way through it. It’s a good read. I hope someday I can play the public courses he writes about.

Finished the book. It was very good. I’m glad that I’ve played a few of the courses including Keney Park in Hartford. He had that as one of the best public courses.

Finished the book about 2 months ago and I've been using it as a rough guide for finding interesting courses to play as I roam across this country. In the last month I played Silvies Valley Ranch (OR), Wild Horse (NE), and Hawktree (ND). Learned about all of them from the book.

I've blogged about my wanderings since 2003. I love roaming throughout the USA looking for remote public golf courses to play.

I did not find it a great read...my mind wandered as he went into great detail about some of his rounds.   However, I enjoyed his writing about courses I have played... like Wild Horse (NE), etc.

It can be tough to follow along if you really have no idea what the course is, what it looks like, etc.
