Getting a replacement club delivered. Was told it would have a Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW blue, in regular flex. I can keep that or keep the stock Fujikura Ventus blue 6R, from my return club. I will be able to hit both briefly in a simulator, but will have to make a pretty quick choice on what to walk out with.

Can anybody advise me on the differences of these two shafts? Or if you feel one is an upgrade over the other?

A little insight, I'm 61 and carry the SIM / Ventus combo 220 to 230 yds. 10.5* turned up tp 11* to reduce some side spin. Fade is my common ball flight with the Ventus.

Thanks!

Not sure that would matter since you will get to hit them. Go with what works for you. That being said, @Adam C can help.

Those two shafts will be very similar. You might hit one better in the simulator but over the long term I would be pretty surprised if you saw any substantial difference.

    • One thing is clear; the only time anyone cares about the LIV guys is when they come over to the PGAT to do anything meaningful. Then they go back to peaceful slumber until it's time for the next major. Tell me BDC get's even 1% of yesterday excited about anything LIV and I say you are a LIVbot.  "You ain't running"  "Ain't nothin to chase, ain't nothing chasing me".

    • Dude, if you don't pull driver on every non-par-3, you are going to lose your ass clown status.
    • Fair enough. You could be right.  Although, Cam Smith, to his credit, admitted it. His quote was something to the effect of "LIV Golf ruined my game. I have no drive what so ever to practice." I'm paraphrasing a little, but that was basically what he said.
    • Okay, I gave this a try today.  Just for clarity sake I used a "Spin-the-wheel" picker ap on my phone to choose which order to do the distances. Then I used my Voice Caddie SC4, which I think is pretty good. Lastly, I used carry distance not total distance. I finished 9 over par.  The very first number generated by the ap was 125. Which I hit to 123 and made a birdie. I was like "This is going to be easy." Then I got the 160 which I hit to 171 and went from 1 under to 1 over just like that.  90 yards - par 95 yards - par 100 yards - par 105 yards - bogey 110 yards - par 115 yards - double 120 yards - par 125 yards - birdie 130 yards - par 135 yards - bogey 140 yards - double 145 yards - bogey 150 yards - par 155 yards - birdie 160 yards - double  165 yards - bogey 170 yards - bogey 175 yards - par Overall a fun little game. If you have an SC4 it will let you enter in a distance as a target and record your distance for you. Then once the picker ap tells you you've done all the distances you simply add up your score off the SC4 ap. Easy-peasy.  BTW - It was hotter than a snake's ass in a wagon rut out there today.
