How often do you play the easy course?

So when do you guys go back to an easy course to build back your confident? I find that if I'm having 3 consecutive bad round I would go back to the course that I play the best at. It helps be build confident and let me work on my game.

No I just go to the range

when ever my dad takes my sister along we have to play an easy course so 1 in every 4 i times it is an easy course

But the range don't do it for me. I can hit it well off the range but some how being on the course is different with all the different situation.

I thought the course I was playing was hard - 6500 yards from the white tees. Then I checked the slope rating compared to other courses nearby. Now I'm going to play the medium courses more often, but of course I'll head back to the easy course now and then.

I only go to an easy course about once a year.

I just play the same three courses regardless of how I'm playing--the front nine of Pioneer is easier than the others though.

The problem with older courses that are rated for a far lower slope and rating is that they're usually tighter - I blast more balls out of play, and I shoot the same or higher anyway.

i play easy courses to build confidence in my game(it seems to help, idk), try different shots that I usually wouldn't, and focus in on my iron play. I play par-3's quite a bit also and hit right off the grass on the tee-boxes. Its like playing 18 approach shots the way I see it.

I play more golf on the road than home, so I don't have home courses that I repeatedly play. So I try to find a place with 6500yds and a rating close to par. I am always surprised how DIFFERENT the difficulty of those courses are with the supposed similar rating.

For me, slope rating does not indicate "easier" course. A couple of the "easier" courses near my home are not in great condition. Duck dump, everywhere, new irrigation installation causing clumps of fairway to be missing, unshaven fairways with weeds growing. You get the picture.

It's almost better to pay a little more and be on courses that are in great condition. Unfortunately, there is nothing easy about them but it does improve my game.

It depends on who I am playing with. Some buddies don't take the game too seriously and by the back 9 are more interested in the beer chick, so we play less challenging courses. Some take it more seriously and don't want to bomb and gouge on the easier tracks. Really, I don't care which I play. I am just happy I am on the course and not working on the honey-do list.

What easy courses? There aren't any where I live.
I wouldn't if I had the choice.

I recently took a trip to Myrtle Beach, and played 8 rounds and 3 courses were "easier" I didn't like them at all.

I always wondered what it would be like going Driver 9 iron/Wedge all day.
Now I know, and I don't like it.

If my game is suffering I put more practice in. Playing an easier course doesn't make you better.

playing an easy course can be somewhat of a relief, even if it is just mental. after taking my lashes a few weeks in a row I don't mind playing a course with a slope of 115-120 if i've been grinding in the 130-136 range.

usually it's the easy tracks my knucklehead buddies play rather than the more competitive, pricier courses, so i often don't seek out the easier track, it just happens the next round will be easier...
