Since I live in Mississippi right now and can't get any of this local, once I run out of my mass stock of original I usually supplement with coors light until I can make another summer vacation run back up to WI.

Stop in Indiana... you can get it at any big grocery store.  Play golf a few days, drink the Leinies, re-stock, and drive home.

Have you had the Leinies - Summer Shandy?

Not yet but I'll make sure I try it next week when I get to Hayward, you're the third person to ask if I've had it so I'm assuming its definitely worth a try.  The worst part is that you can find their Berry and Honey Weiss (My least favorite Leinie's) in a few grocery stores here  but they won't stock anything else.

edit* changed honey wheat to honey weiss

Guiness.

In my Titleist 2014 9.5" Staff bag:

Cobra Bio+ 9* Matrix White Tie X  - Taylormade SLDR 15* ATTAS 80X - Titleist 910H 19* ATTAS 100X - Taylormade '13 TP MC 4-PW PX 6.5 - Vokey TVD M 50* DG TI X100 - Vokey SM4 55 / Vokey SM5 60* DG TI S400 - Piretti Potenza II 365g

Dog Fish Head make the Apricot Pale Ale iirc.

It was fantastic.

re: the Leinie's Summer Shandy.  It packs a bit of a lemon whallop.  Not overt or over the top, but it is part of the label and the packaging for a reason.  That said, it's rather mainstream and very drinkable to me.  If' you're a Coors Lite guy, and a Miller Low Life draft is a big reach, forget it.

But then you would not be this deep into this thread then would you?

George Killian's Irish Red. Can drink two with a steak or 12 during a Panthers' game...

Good all around beer, IMO. Not the best lager out there, but one of my favorite's.

I coulda sworn I left the cart right here......

Ommegang Abbey Ale is what I've been pulling recently.  Have always liked Blue Moon and I'll get a Black and Blue once in a while at the bar.

nope I sure wouldn't. I will be stretched out on a dock in northern wisconsin this coming friday, hopefully consuming my first summer shandy.  If it's not to my tastes then i'll cross it off the list and then break out a leinie red.

DFH Aprihops was awesome stuff, I like it better then 90 minute honestly.  They should just brew that one year round!

    • Day 211 (29 Nov 24) - Friday men’s round albeit a solo foursome (temps in the 40’s, day after Thanksgiving and the average age closer to 75 - I’m a youngster at 65).  Interesting day of semi-solid play (8 of 18 GIR). Hit all four par threes in one (a first) - parred each; still had a couple 3 putt bogies; and blew up on 3 of the par 5’s (go figure)). The blow ups were some serious tree rattlers - amplifying how I got stupid and greedy instead of smart and content to just get back in the short stuff.
    • Day 60 - 2024-11-29 Got about 3.5' of snow today, so I was going to go to Golf Evolution, but… I only left the house to throw some snow. Instead, i checked out my putting stroke on HackMotion in the basement. Turns out… it's pretty good, and I'm very in touch with what I'm doing.
    • First time playing this game, Spanish is my native language. It was impossible for me. After 4 worlds I run out of worlds that have the letters I've already found that can be combined with the remaining letters.. just repeated the 4th world to knew the answer. I know the world but it never came to my mind.
