Insoles for Golf Shoes

I’ve had my share of foot problems so (unfortunately) speak from experience. I’ve had good luck with Power Step inserts. Also, if you’re looking for increased stiffness you might want to look at some steel turf toe inserts.

It is arthritis, then maybe see what a podiatrist recommends. It might be covered by health insurance.

Maybe look at foot exercises and stretches. Best thing for me was to switch to minimalist barefoot style shoes. It strengthened and made my feet more flexible.

Any recommendations for Insoles for golf shoes? I know SuperFeet green comes up a lot. Any others? I am looking for something stiffer for big toe arthritis.

I’ve used Sole inserts a lot. They mold to your feet and provide a lot of support. I have arthritis in my right big toe and it works well for me. The other to try is the Currex. They are not quite as stiff but provide good support.

The retailers have limited stock. Went to REI (thanks, @boogielicious), the Soles seemed a bit firm and have a cork bottom? But, a possible choice. No one had my size in the SuperFeet Green. Surprisingly liked the Sof Sole athletic. Much less money & felt great. But, they didn't seem very firm. More to come, thanks, for the replies!

I’ve used the cork soles and they’re fine.

    • I had the D-9's a while back, thought the stock Wilson grips were rubbish.  I put Pure grips on them. Pure is now out of business but available on Golfworks.  Currently some colors in stock as of today. PURE Wrap Golf Grips - The GolfWorks PURE Golf's tackiest grip, the Wrap features a perforated wrap design and is ideal for golfers that prefer a slightly softer, more muted feel at impact.
    • If he had to hit over the bunker, I'm guessing he was further from the hole, although "in front of" implies the opposite.  If that's right, that may have been the right spot for penalty relief, a single PS.
    • Day 52. Trying to work on hard pan lie pitching in the rain in the yard.
    • Did you look up any Rules before posting here? What did you learn or find? You don't get to drop (or place) closer to the hole. 16.1(c) deals with relief for Abnormal Course Conditions in bunkers. You're granted free relief for: Since you say the bunker was basically entirely full of water, you likely wouldn't get complete relief, so for free (no penalty strokes), you are entitled to "maximum available" relief. If there's a spot in the back of the bunker away from the hole where the water is the shallowest, then you can drop there. If you don't like any of those options, you can take a penalty stroke and drop out of the bunker, behind it: You seem to have played from a wrong place (nearer to the hole) and thus likely should be penalized two strokes. It doesn't sound like a serious breach, at least.
