Are you a "Fair Weather" or "All Weather" golfer?

  1. 1. What type of "Weather Golfer" are you.

    • I am 100% a Fair Weather Golfer - It can't be too cold or too hot and forget any rain or wet fairways. It must be perfect weather or I am out.

    • I am a Decent Weather Golfer - I'll golf if not raining as long as it is over 60 degrees and under 85 degrees.
    • I am a Dry & Warm Weather Golfer - as long as over 60 degrees and not raining I'll be there, even if over 85-90 degrees.
    • I am a Warm Weather Golfer - As long as over 60 degrees I'll be there, even if it is wet/rainy.
    • I am a Dry Weather Golfer - I'll golf in any temps as long as it is not raining or snowing.
    • I am an All Weather Golfer - If the course is open I'll be there.

I would probably be listed under “All Weather.” I have played in Michigan in every month since April, 2022. I don’t play when the turf’s surface is frozen. I won’t start a round in steady rain if the forecast is for rain the next 4 hours. If the choice is to go a week or more without playing or play when it is 39 degrees with a 15 mph breeze, I play.

Isn't your profile photo of you playing in the snow? 😮 I hope you used a bright red ball or similar.

Orange, but I don’t really play in snow. I have been on the course when light snow interrupts the round.

I’ll play in the rain, but thunder and lightning? That’s a no from me, dawg.

I don’t think the courses around here will even let you out if there’s lightning in the area. I know one course has the Thor Guard lightning detection system. It went off once when I was playing and they came out picked us all up in carts from wherever we were.

This was league play.
If the course does not close we are left with the option of  playing or having to play a double match in 2 weeks (this is 1 round of 9, but against 2 opponents).
Due to weather myself and many others are playing double matches for the last few weeks of the league. Due to 1 course closing, the league has been pushed in to sept, which is not ideal, because that is when HS golf takes over the course.

So we are left to play in so-so weather while continuing to repeat "Don't think the heavy stuff's gonna come down for quite a while"
