Tried setting the golf club at address just off the right foot more so that its further back in my stance,I dont see much difference to be honest, maybe ballooning the ball is just my natural shot?,so I'm stuck with it?

Ballooning or just high trajectory? Ballooning starts low and rises up. Also, with out actual measurable data on how high you hit it, or video of your ball flight, there is no way to say if you are even hitting it too high. We are flying blind here.

Do you think it could be high trajectory?..I hit a sw 90 yards and a 6 iron around 150-160 yards,I just assumed my ball flight was just to high,it does go high, especially the short irons,am I just looking for more length whereas those yardages are my limit,I'm slightly confused...lol

@Christoby - We really can't help you out more at this point. You haven't posted a swing (here or in the member swing subforum), and you haven't provided any concrete data that shows how high you hit it. Generally, you want to be able to hit it pretty high. PGA Tour average is around 100 feet, but also the best players tend to be a bit above that. The conventional wisdom is that it's best to be high with longer clubs and be able to flight it lower with wedges and short irons.

I would guess that you are not hitting it too high. But it's just a guess because you don't have videos or concrete data.

That said, don't do this:

It's a band aid that will lead to bad habits.

Use a tripod, please. Slow mo, good camera angles. If not a tripod (they're like $20 for a decent one, good investment in your golf game and useful outside of golf, too), at least rest it on something wrist height.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
