Realize he was seeking the title of America's Worst Avid Golfer.

But yeah, Sergio shot a 66 yesterday, and this guy shoots a 66 on the 17th.

Yeah isn't that crazy, 66 on one hole.... i dont criticize other peoples golf games, because I know I was the same way or will be the same way at one point or another, but dang, thats pretty bad..

The Golf Channel had this on one of their Top 10 shows. I laughed my ass off when one of the comedian guys came on and said the following about him:

Yeah...this guy says he is 117 (handicap), but he plays more like a 107 (handicap)

...or something like that

yeah... The Golf channel highlighted this in the top 10 moments on the 17th. followed by the ball stealing bird...tiger's chip in as an amateur and the unbelievable hole outs.

Not really. ESC applies to what you can count towards your score

for purposes of posting a handicap . I don't think there's a maximum score on a hole otherwise. So, he can probably only count 10 or 9 towards his total for purposes of posting the round on his handicap, but his scorecard must still report the total strokes he took. This causes arguments sometimes, particularly in betting rounds. Someone (perhaps with a vanity handicap) will say they cannot take more than X on a given hole due to ESC and pick up when they'd be putting for X. Well, if they just take their 5 on a par-3 but you have to putt for yours, even if you get a stroke on the hole, it could very well affect the skins game / match situation / etc.
