What do you think are the Top 5 Stories of the Year. I'll cull the results and use them for this weekend's Trap 5.

Off the top of my head... just throwing things out there...

Resurgence of Calcavecchia and Mayfair.
Sean O'Hair
Tiger's Resurgence
Vijay's putting
Ernie's injury
Wie turning pro
Jason Gore
Creamer's debut/Solheim Cup
Exciting Presidents Cup
Hale Irwin? Dana Quigley?

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

Resurgence of Calcavecchia and Mayfair.

Nah...

Sean O'Hair

Good story...possible for a top 5.

Tiger's Resurgence

Probably my #1.

Vijay's putting

#2...he could have won a lot more tournaments, including a major or two if his putting didn't kill him.

Ernie's injury

Other things might be better than to talk about his stupidity...of course it makes for good fodder.

Wie turning pro

Yes...change it to 'Wie turning pro...and immediately getting DQ'd' and it's just right.

Jason Gore

Yeah...a feel-good story.

Creamer's debut/Solheim Cup

Nope.

Exciting Presidents Cup

But it's not the Ryder Cup...

Hale Irwin? Dana Quigley?

See 'Resurgence of Calcavecchia and Mayfair'

I'd go with: Tiger Vijay's putting Wie Gore/O'Hair (Combine into one about new players making waves) President's Cup (It was exciting, wasn't it?)

Fairways and Greens.

I don't necessarily want rankings... I just want a list of big stories. I'll sort them out myself later. Right now, I'm more concerned about forgetting something big. So just brainstorm and list what you can think of... things not mentioned already, if you have any.

Jack Nicklaus' goodbye at St. Andrews. That was pretty big I would say. That was the only I thought of that isn't already listed.

I'll think of some more though hopefully.

Well, I've culled the list to five top stories and three just missed the cut. Do you agree with the order? Check it out and reply in the comments at the bottom or here in this thread.
