$100 for my White Steel #1 34"

But I'm gonna trade it in plus +$70 or so for a Sabertooth...so I guess I'd be paying $170 for a Sabertooth 34".

I almost bought an Odyssey White Hot #7 last week. I had a 25% off coupon and the putter was already on sale for $110. Very tempting, but I know that deep down I really want a , so I passed on it. That White Hot #7 was a very nice putter though. I love the elasomer insert on the face because it gave the putter a very soft touch.

Just a heads up, there's a guy on eBay selling Sabertooth's for $134.

He's got 98.4% feedback and I just found him. Really, really considering a Sabertooth for that price. I'm between the Sabertooth and the White Hot Tour #1, damn tough choice to make. Good resale value! I almost got the same price that I've paid for it. I switched to Ping ($89).

Only in one case.

That being if you really like it and feel comfortable putting with it and do not buy it.

I have a Scotty and I payed 200 for it. It is the best 200 that I have ever spent. I just feel more comfortable and confident with it. Now that I feel more confident with it, I putt better with it.

I'm about to drop 220 on the odyssey black series i 9. Am I crazy??

No....you aren't crazy. The putter is the most important club in the bag!!!!! It is all about set-up, feel and confidence. Think about it...you can make many different drivers work for you...some better than others but most are servicable....provided they fit you.

You don't want to settle for a "sevicable" putter. You want the one that is perfect for you. To me, putting is the game within the game. I want the flatstick to be the best suited to me as possible. The most I've ever spent on a putter was $300 when my sister and I bought a Scotty Cameron as a gift for our father. For my own use, the most I've spent is $150 or so.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
