This Friday is the 4th of July and Im sure many of you have big plans for next weekend.
Me, I'll be in NE Wisconsin at my parents' house. Im going to cut some firewood and spend some time with the family.
The other day my father asked me if I planned on bring my golf clubs up with me, so I guess he and I are going to play a little golf next weekend.
That should be interesting. I just started playing again after giving the game up for 8 years and I can could on 1 hand the number of rounds that he has played. Oh well, Im sure it will be fun no matter how much we suck at golf.
Tomorrow Im going to a little par 3 course, so hopefully I can get my game somewhat tuned up by next weekend.
So, what does everyone else have planned?

My hope is to have friends over for a party. If I can convince guests to bring beverages I plan on making some bbq rubbed chicken thighs and a big mozarella and tomato salad with balsamic vinegar.

I like food.

Still trying to determine if we want to bring our daughter (16 months) to the fireworks display or just observing it from a distance in case she freaks out.

Mmmmmmm! Sounds good.

Theres nothing better than eating some good food with some good friends. We'll probably do something like that with my parents. Whenever I visit them, they almost always fire up the grille and make brats, burgers and chicken. My ex-girlfriend's mom is like that too. She always used to go way overboard making food and she would make the most amazing meals. Needless to say, I like food too!

For Memorial Day I made a big pot of Sheboygan-style brats that came out really fantastic. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that I used Texas 1015s instead of the usual Vidalias.

I like cooking.

I guess I will probably play in our 4th of July golf scramble. Then probably cook steaks and drink some brewskis.
